A romantic hideaway since 1937, Trail Creek Cabin is a must Sun Valley dining adventure. Sleighs depart for the restaurant from the village near the Sun Valley Inn during the ski season, and you may also drive. The seasonal menu has a western flare with items including locally raised beef, Idaho Trout, baby back ribs and the Hemingway meat loaf. All complimented by a great wine list and a full bar.

For 18 years, my wife and I have traveled out to Trail Creek via the horse drawn sleigh for our Christmas Eve / Wedding Anniversary dinner. It is always magical and includes a visit by Santa and carolers from Utah. The menu has evolved and is now comparable with some of the better food served at the Lodge but you... More

We celebrated our 25th anniverary in Sun Valley during their first big snow fall around December 14th. A ski patrol friend suggested this place and I am soooo glad he did. I wish the sleigh ride to the cabin was operating but we were too early in the season. The meal was fanominal, you can't beat the romantic atmosphere Hemingway's... More

Had Thanksgiving dinner at the Trail Creek Cabin. It was simply awesome. The cabin, as it is named is a large multi-room log cabin. Spacious with multiple wood fireplaces. We had the 5:00 seating and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Service was spot on - professional, comfortable, friendly - from the Hostess to Joe, our Waiter. Dinner wax a fixed menu... More

the setting here is worth the trip to eat. Rustic type of cabin setting. We took the sleigh ride out in winter and have driven out during the summer. Lovely setting. Steaks good. Service was great. Large homemade desserts.

We took the wagon last night for dinner. I had hoped for snow, but we are at the tail end of winter. They have a sleigh, but the lack of snow forced the change to the wagon. It's a great experience no matter what. You meet at the SV Inn and the ride takes about 30 minutes. The food from... More

Even though the reservation was made months in advance. We were not on the same sleigh as the rest of our party. The dinner was over priced and average at best.

We decided to do the late sleigh ride up to the cabin on New Years. It was cold - but it was stunning. We bundled up with blankets and got to the cabin for dinner. There is a coat room to undress the many layers of clothing and off to our cozy seats. The cabin was adorable & our waitress... More

We scheduled an afternoon and sleigh ride on Christmas day that ended up at the Trail Creek Cabin just as the sun was setting. We entered the cabin to find it decked out in all the right Christmas trimmings. We were treated to according music, excellent service, and an excellent dinner of Bison short ribs. With a nice bottle of... More

We did the Sleigh Ride dinner. Unless they get over 10 inches of snow on the golf course you get the wagon ride which we got. The food was tasty however everything came out just warm. It certainly was not worth the 300 dollar price tag not including drinks.
