A romantic hideaway since 1937, Trail Creek Cabin is a must Sun Valley dining adventure. Sleighs depart for the restaurant from the village near the Sun Valley Inn during the ski season, and you may also drive. The seasonal menu has a western flare with items including locally raised beef, Idaho Trout, baby back ribs and the Hemingway meat loaf. All complimented by a great wine list and a full bar.

Such a wonderful Sun Valley experience

We took the wagon last night for dinner. I had hoped for snow, but we are at the tail end of winter. They have a sleigh, but the lack of snow forced the change to the wagon. It's a great experience no matter what. You meet at the SV Inn and the ride takes about 30 minutes. The food from... read more

Even though the reservation was made months in advance. We were not on the same sleigh as the rest of our party. The dinner was over priced and average at best.

We decided to do the late sleigh ride up to the cabin on New Years. It was cold - but it was stunning. We bundled up with blankets and got to the cabin for dinner. There is a coat room to undress the many layers of clothing and off to our cozy seats. The cabin was adorable & our waitress... More

We scheduled an afternoon and sleigh ride on Christmas day that ended up at the Trail Creek Cabin just as the sun was setting. We entered the cabin to find it decked out in all the right Christmas trimmings. We were treated to according music, excellent service, and an excellent dinner of Bison short ribs. With a nice bottle of... More

We did the Sleigh Ride dinner. Unless they get over 10 inches of snow on the golf course you get the wagon ride which we got. The food was tasty however everything came out just warm. It certainly was not worth the 300 dollar price tag not including drinks.

From the moment we arrived at this restaurant I knew we were in for a great night. We ordered two appetizers to share, apple salad and cauliflower custard with braised brussel sprouts which were delicious. My husband and mother both got steaks which they said were fabulous. I got arronchini (sp? ) which was crispy and delicious. We split a... More

Have been to trail creek a few times. We have always had a great experience. You can ride a wagon or sled over depending on time of year. Sit outside in the summer. We have to young teens and they enjoy to food. Nice wines. Great food.

This is about a mile or two up the road from the resort. The location is beautiful. Shauna was our server and she was great. We started with a sturgeon appetizer and had the vegetarian entree and the meatloaf. Both were super. The wine list was pretty good and the prices were fair. Definitely would go back again.

Closed when we stopped by, so I walked the grounds. The setting of the tables stream side is lovely, and I will make a point to enjoy an afternoon drink or dinner on the deck out back when we come next time. It looks like the perfect quiet, pleasant setting to sit and dine with your mate.
