Birthday sushi! Freshly rolled!

This is a favorite local hang out for a small group in one of the back rooms or for a quick meal before (or after) the movies which is a half a block away. The sushi is excellent and fresh. We recommend the mussels and love finishing the meal with yummy home made ice cream!

The fantastic experience at Sushi on Second rivals our favorite sushi hot spot in Atlanta. The quality of food is excellent. The atmosphere is comfortable and appropriately asian. They are a popular dinner spot so be sure to make reservations.

Hands-down, best I've ever had. It has become tradition that we come here on birthdays and sit in the enclosed party room. The food is amazing and the ambience is stunning - lots of deep reds and blacks. Full bar, of course, and ample seating. Been here for years, and for good reason.

Be aware that even for take-out orders, such as the one we ordered just after the 5.30 pm opening, there is a 10% surcharge added automatically to your bill “as a gratuity for the sushi chefs”, as the young woman explained to us. I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was good and the people were very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice with a few varieties available such as out door seating, group settings and cozy couple areas.

The resturant was very dark. Server was efficient and attentive. Food was decent. The sushi chef offered information but with a nasty, arrogant attitude which was not appreciated!

Other reviewers weren't wrong...some of the best sushi I have ever had. Super fresh fish, the sushi chef...we sat at the sushi bar...asked if we had any questions to let him know, he would be happy to assist. Heard him making good recommendations to a couple beside us and he was extremely accommodating. Great service and the potstickers were scrumptious!... More

We've tried for years to get into Sushi on Second, but during the Holidays it is always packed. Fortunately, we were able to score a reservation (albeit at the Sushi Bar) and were not disappointed. Absolutely one of the best sushi restaurants that I've ever visited! Four of our family members shared a "boat" of new and innovative, creative sushi rolls. Fresh, fresh, fresh! Delightful new find for our first trip to Sun Valley!

We recently visited Sushi on Second with a group of friends. The service was friendly and fast and the food was done to perfection. We ordered several appetizers for our table and enjoyed them so much we ordered more for our main entree.
