Went there just to get PIE! We were full from lunch but wanted a late night snack, so I went and grabbed PIE, they packaged it up and off I went back to hotel. Even got some alamode. Was delicious.

Stopped by Idaho Falls to visit an old friend, we came here for dinner - I loved it so much I made my hubby come back for breakfast before we left town - he loved it also. A plus for me is breakfast anytime. Wonderful pictures on the walls, family friendly, just darn good food and great service. I can't... More

Went for breakfast, not many combo options, limited menu, not very creative. Service was good, almost too good as I like to be left alone to eat and read the paper when dining alone. A good server doesn't need to ask so often if I need a refill. I'll return and try to create my own breakfast combos.

Very down to earth family-style restaurant. Lightly breaded halibut with a cottage cheese and peach salad was very good. My wife had a delicious turkey pot pie with a thin, home made style crust. Coconut cream pie was excellent!

We stopped here on our way home from a cross-country road trip. It wasn't particularly busy the morning we stopped in. We were really looking forward to some coffee but were only able to get our cups refilled once, after some awkward and defensive excuses from our server (dishwasher called off, missing a server for the day too, etc). The... More

The potato pancakes were excellent and brought back memories of Grandma's pancakes. The turkey potpie was all homemade and very good. Dated decor, but clean and attractive. A lot of food for a low cost. Would go again if lived close enough.

Smitty's is an older restaurant that could do with a bit of a remodel, but it was right next to our hotel. As far as food goes, the meal was average, but the fried chicken was far to salty, to the point of being inedible. However the desserts were good.

An excellent breakfast! We had both buckwheat and sourdough pancakes and found both delicious. All the other breakfast items (sausage, eggs, omelette etc) were excellent, too. Coffee was refilled promptly and with a smile. Price was reasonable. I could not find anything more than I would want for a perfect breakfast.

Smitty's is THE place to have breakfast in Idaho Falls. I visit here once a year or so when we come to visit my Dad. It is kind of old school with very filling well prepared. Their pancakes cannot be beat and now they have a gluten free pancakes so my pancake fiend son can get them. Their other breakfast... More
