Best prime rib I've had for a long time! Great service. A little pricy, but not bad considering the menu of mostly steaks, etc.

It's not a world class gastronomic experience, but the Sandpiper offers a very pleasant meal with a good view at a reasonable price. The staff are super nice and accommodating. Unfortunately it's popular with business people who are trying to impress each other and anyone else who happens to be sitting nearby.

We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next door to the Sandpiper. One of the employees suggested this restaurant. Since this was in walking distance, we decided to give it a try! The outdoor eating area was packed so we decided to eat in the bar area. I had the salmon salad, which was very delicious with a blackberry... More

This restaurant has great food, an excellent bar and great service.... and one of the best views of the Snake River in Idaho Falls. It's like an oasis. As the river flows by you have a front row seat to watch the geese, people strolling by, and occasional car, all while enjoying a beautiful and shady patio with your dinner... More

We walked in very curious, but were greeted by friendly staffers who escorted us to the patio. Being just interest in drinks and a few hors d'vors during rush hour was okay with friendly staffers.

All that we ordered was superb. I had a pasta primavera which was among the best I have ever had while my spouse had a salmon salad with spinach that was also excellent. We had started with escargot and were not disappointed though it supposedly had Pernod, but it was under cover as far as taste.

My fiancé ordered the piper house salad, which had light green lettuce more like iceberg than romaine and was topped with nasty looking little shrimp and a pile of salted peanuts. He also got the rainbow trout and garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes did not taste like anything and the trout was very plain and overlooked. Our bill for 2... More

On a girl's night out, six of us went to the Sandpiper and had a very bad experience. From dirty silverware to bad food and drinks, we were very disappointed. The next day I called the manager and he was very apologetic. He offered a "do over" free dinner-which we accepted. This time everything was wonderful. Our server, Scott, was... More

we had to wait for 1hr 20 to get our dishes, with the average courses served with cold plates. college kid waitresses struggled to cope. but the riverside wildlife kept people occupied. Lots of poser bikers cruise past regularly as well.
