Greatlunch stop

We were driving from Boise to Stanley and actually were searching for a rest room. Our eyes felt on Trudy's kitchen, but as we are Dutch we also found another option at the Visitor Center. After a short walk in Idaho City we got some appetite and walked down the road to Trudy's. Well the place was... read more

Really great food! We stopped in by chance and ended up making a repeat trip. Highly recommend! Pleasantly surprised by all the great vegetarian options.

This is one of those old fashioned cafes which serve great food with great ambiance. It is a real favorite with the locals, and after you eat there, you will see why. Nothing fancy, just really tasty food. Recommend!

Idaho City is not known for fine dining! Trudy's gave a good lunch. The hamburger was good but not great and it wasn't greasy - which is a big plus. I had a chicken & veggie burrito and it was huge! Once again, not great but good. Spinach salad left a little to be desired - it was spinach and... More

If you want authentic, good food, this is your place! I'm not sure that I've had a better piece of pie ever! Idaho City is rustic. This restaurant is not. A very nice place and a must stop for a good meal!

Since Calamity Jane's burned down a few weeks ago, Trudy's is pretty much the only option for breakfast in Idaho City. I haven't been here for several years, don't recall anything impressive about prior visits but after this visit, I most assuredly will not be back. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning. A party of six was waiting... More

I have to honestly say that this was one of the best restaurants we went to on our vacation. While visiting friends in Boise, they insisted on coming to this restaurant. As my friend's son stated, "every meal is good here!" I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter, who was the picky one in our group, ordered chicken fingers and fries,... More

just as other reviewers have done, we stopped here on the way through to Stanley for a late lunch. Wait staff was nice and friendly, oddly though one of them asked us to move to a two person table (was at four top) as they were expecting a big group - the big group never showed up. food was good,... I had the Loggers Burger, which was very good. However, the cole slaw was exceptional. Great service too!
