This is one of the best meals I've had. The tempura is outstanding. I love the decor and that it's small and cozy. Service was excellent! Make reservations as the line was out the door when we left. The next day there was a line waiting for them to open

It was a busy Saturday night at Syringa but my wife and I were able to get a table without a reservation. The waiter was pleasant and the service good.  We both ordered miso soup, and for entrees shrimp yaki-udon soup and the tempura dinner.  On the positive side, the tempura was superb with large shrimp and sweet crispy vegetables,... Fresh food, very flavorful and different. Good portions. I was full. Small place, fun atmosphere. Our first time going there.

We love sashimi, which needs to be absolutely fresh else it is immediately evident. We have visited many times because it is the best sushi restaurant in the area, but it does not compare to the sushi establishments in the larger coastal cities, hence the average rating. I had monk fish liver for the first time at Syringa's, and did... More

Funky little joint, with great sushi and traditional asian dishes. This place has personality, it's alive. Great staff.

My wife and I love sushi and have had it all over the United States and even on international cruises and without a doubt this little place rocks! The quality and freshness of sushi at Syringa is truly one of the best and even if you don't like sushi their Teriyaki Bento is "off the charts" according to our 10... More

The outside of the building doesn't really hint at what's inside. We arrived and walked in - and were asked if we had reservations. The place was full and many more were coming in behind us. We lucked out, as they had a reservation cancel just before we arrived. We had several types of sushi & our daughter had the... More

Just had dinner here last night. The food was excellent. We had 3 appetizers...the fresh poke salad with avocado, sauteed green beans and the pork gyozas...they were all so delicious. Then we had Sushi...the Godzilla, Spider, Spicy Tuna and Tempura rolls..really wonderful. Very fresh and so tasty. The prices are decent for the quality of food served. Syringa is a... More

By far the best sushi between here and Seattle. Another chef operated gem in Cda. Make reservations, it's never slow and seating is limited.

We sat at the sushi bar. Justin, our chef, was friendly and sociable despite being very busy. He and server Scott gave great suggestions. Patrons at the bar were like family--sharing recommendations, comments, and a few laughs. One of the few places inland where I'm willing to eat sushi--beautiful, fresh bigeye tuna, salmon, yellowtail. A really enjoyable evening. The restaurant... More
