Service is very speedy, prices are low, servers are friendly. Then when you add the fantastic food, this is a place to be sure to stop at. The pancakes are topped with cinnamon butter and are so tender and light. The eggs are moist and fluffy, the fruit bowl is super fresh and high quality. We WILL return!!!

Good size portions, fast service, and nice to have "home cooking" that is fresh and filling! Good coffee too :)

I visited restaurant this week. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large selection on the breakfast menu. It was hard to make a choice. It was mid morning on Monday when I visited, so it was not busy then. I'm sure it's very busy on the weekends, as it is not a large place. Great location and quaint... More

Go to Michael D's! After 6 weeks on the road around the western 1/3 of the U.S., we were yearning for a good and wholesome breakfast before taking our bikes for a ride on the Centennial Trail. We chose Michael D's Eatery after scouring the reviews of all the different places in town. It really should be at the top... More

We've eaten there twice this summer. Both times we had great breakfasts. Good menu selections, good quality, and good prices. Because of our current diets, of special interest to us were the waffles & pancakes made with almond flour & tapioca--great options! Service has also been excellent. The location is convenient to I-90 so we stop in on our way... More

We arrived at almost 11 on a Sunday for breakfast. We had to wait a half hour to be seated and it was worth every second of the wait. Everything we ordered was outstanding, Cajon sausage was particularly remarkable. All breads were homemade and delicious. We definitely be back. Thanks Michael!!

Michael D's is a good local family restaurant where the man himself (Michael D) will greet you, possibly by name if you come enough. The food is good and so is the service. It is good to support local businesses and this one is worth supporting.

Coeur d'Alene is my favorite place in the world! I'd live here if all my children and grandchildren weren't located 1,100 miles to the south. We've been eating at the Eatery for the past seven or eight years when we're in town, mostly on Sunday mornings or on the way to the airport at the end of a visit. On... More

We like to go local and this place is just that -- food that was fresh and local and staff that could talk/provide info on the area. Our food seemed remarkably fresh. The sausages, both the Cajun and the patty were flavorful and not at all greasy (yet not dry either). The homemade biscuit was not dry either and was... More

Michael D's has been our favorite Coeur d'Alene breakfast restaurant since they opened up around 15 years ago. We go early to avoid the inevitable crowds on Sunday mornings. The staff, especially Betina and Pam, always welcome us and provide excellent, friendly, and personal service. The food is consistently tasty, just the right amount, and at a fair price. Michael...
