Coeur d'Alene is my favorite place in the world! I'd live here if all my children and grandchildren weren't located 1,100 miles to the south. We've been eating at the Eatery for the past seven or eight years when we're in town, mostly on Sunday mornings or on the way to the airport at the end of a visit. On... More

We like to go local and this place is just that -- food that was fresh and local and staff that could talk/provide info on the area. Our food seemed remarkably fresh. The sausages, both the Cajun and the patty were flavorful and not at all greasy (yet not dry either). The homemade biscuit was not dry either and was... More

Michael D's has been our favorite Coeur d'Alene breakfast restaurant since they opened up around 15 years ago. We go early to avoid the inevitable crowds on Sunday mornings. The staff, especially Betina and Pam, always welcome us and provide excellent, friendly, and personal service. The food is consistently tasty, just the right amount, and at a fair price. Michael... An amazing out of the way little eatery. The service was fantastic (we were a party of 9 with kids on a busy long weekend!) Order anything made as a skillet along with their Mimosa! You won't be dissapointed!

Michael D was there to greet us and get us started with free coffees. The service was good and the place was hopping on Sunday morning. Pancakes were light and tasty, but the bacon was to die for. A local spot for sure so you know it is good. Had to love the gorgeous hanging baskets on the porch

Wait staff didn't particularly care if we were there or not- noncommittal if any greeting. Didn't get my orange juice until I was on my last bite of breakfast. Food nothing special, just regular bacon and eggs. Maybe they should cover up the bus bins, or put them inside, or something, because the flies were horrid. Server ignored us mostly.

We ate here for breakfast since our hotel had no gluten free options. I had scrambled eggs, potatoes and their gluten free pancake, coffee all for only $8. Fast and friendly service. We would definitely stop here for breakfast again.

We were visiting Eastern Washington State and wanted to go have breakfast. Someone suggested that we ride over to Coeur d'Alene to try Michael D's. Great!!!
