Great Basic Burger

If you like a good basic burger, this is the place for you. Love that everything is cut fresh when they make it, and the patty is pressed just before they cook it. Go ahead and order a double or order two, the burgers are on the smaller side and they are delicious. Plan on waiting and good luck... read more

Visiting friends and said that we have to eat here. Tiny little place with no AC. Hamburgers and pie. Nothing else. Burgers only $2.70. They were ok. Nothing to write home about honestly.

I've been to Hudson'several times, now. Maybe that's the problem. In the past I really enjoyed the old timey feel of the lunch counter experience. This time, however, the flavor of the "cheese burger with both" that is with pickles and onions, wasn't good enough to make me want to go back again.

Simple fare, not a lot of choices, but if you like hambergers and pie this place is a must! It is a 4th generation family run business and what they do they do with old fashioned goodness. You can sit at the counter or if it is crowded, get it to go and walk across the street to Independence Point... More

My mom was a hamburger snob, the kind that sought out greasy spoons and burger stands long before television made it seem cool. She raised us to revere places like Hudson's, where you sit on a little ol' stool and try not to drink your whole Pepsi before your hamburger's ready. While your stomach growls, you distract yourself watching the... More

As advertised. No frills, and they don't need them. Don't listen to the pissy reviews - let them not come here so there is more room at the counter for us! Always a favorite stop for me when in CDA.

Hudson's has a basic hamburger done on an in-house grill. Only additional item available is pie which is good. No fries, etc. You can have mustard or ketchup or sauce, cheese. No frills, nothing out of the ordinary. It's been featured in many national publications and those from out of state flock there due to its notoriety. It's referred to... More

Stopped in for lunch and glad we did. Watch your hamburgers be prepared and cooked before you! Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Be sure to save room for dessert.

Who would have thought a hamburger could be so outstanding?! Since 1907, that is all they serve (other than beverages and a ham biscuit) and has a well-deserved line out the door waiting for these tasty treats! Don't go to this part of the world without a visit to Hudson's!

When you don't want to pollute your hamburger palate with other items, just the best tasting hamburger ever, this is the place to go! It's small, so you may have to wait for a place at the counter, but it is well worth it! Bring cash - no cards or checks accepted.
