They don't take credit or debit cards. CASH ONLY. It's small and only seats about 10 people so the lines are a little long

Burgers only mediocre. While the ambiance of a 50s soda fountain is nice, the food is not worth the annoyance of inadequate seating. We w ill not return.

For a hamburger joint to survive for over 100 years, the owners must be doing something right. Hudson's makes a good burger. The restaurant is a small storefront across from the Coeur d'Alene Resort. There is a single counter with about a dozen stools. Each burger is made individually by hand, when ordered, just in front of the counter. Don't... More

West end of the main downtown street. Has been there for YEARS and YEARS. Looks and functions like an old time soda shop, ie, sit at the counter, burgers are cooked on a grill in front of you. Not fancy burgers - but the meat is DELISH! And you can't beat the price. Also serves great pie. That's about it... More

The atmosphere and pictures on the walls are what really makes this place the burgers are good actually above average for a burger place. Prices are ok but make sure to bring cash since they don't take plastic, there is an ATM though. Plan on an early lunch and avoid the crowd or be prepared for a wait as the... More

I love this place. Four or five times a year my wife and I visit family north of here, so we always have to drive through Couer d'Alene. No matter what time of day and no matter when a meal is planned, I insist on stopping at Hudson's. It's a tiny place with counter seating only and no credit cards... More

Saw the reviews and figured we had to try this place. Like the idea of a simple, classic burger joint. Didn't like the burgers that much - very greasy and hardly any toppings. Very crowded and washroom was filthy. Wouldn't recommend nor go back.

The best burger I've ever had. The combination of the hamburger with the onions, pickles, cheese, and special mustard/ketchup works to perfection. Juicy, juicy burger, cooked by the original owner's great grandson tells you they have had the best burger for decades---10 decades--that's 1 CENTURY they've been doing it! Small place but everyone shifts around on the counter stools to... More

There are a number of authorities, the place advertises on its walls, that say this is either one of the top 50 or top 100 hamburger joints in America. Wowsers! They serve a really, really good burger. … The lemon meringue pie was also really good. That's it. Not in, that's all we had (although that is all we had),... More

Owned by the same family since opening in 1906, and still operating with the same menu and same down-home style. Todd Hudson was there to open it on Saturday morning at 9:30AM sharp and I decided to have the one breakfast on the menu: Egg Sandwich, along with great coffee. If it were a little later, I would have sprung... More
