Pleasent Brunch with family

Wonderful little café on a side street of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It was a dreary morning, rainy and a little cold but the service was sunny and cheerful. I had the Coeur d'Alene omelet which is smoked trout, cream cheese, and avocado. The eggs served at The Garnet are sourced from their own farm... read more

I wish I could find more restaurants around like this. To me the biggest draw is the fact that the restaurant is supplied with eggs, meat and cheese from their local farm. I hope more farms pick up on this and bring fresh, organic grass fed food to the masses. The place is hard to find. If I didn't have... More

We pulled off I-90 for lunch and found The Garnet Cafe by accident. We were so pleased. We enjoy supporting family owned businesses, particularly when they focus on fresh, local ingredients. We had 2 elementary age kids with us and they loved the food as well. We were all pleased with our choices.

Got the pork fried steak with fried potatoes. Great flavor at a good price. Will definitely return to try out more items.

So in addition to your traditional brunch items (omelets, eggs benedict with smoked salmon ($13) etc), they offer some unusual items - try the spaghetti with sundried tomatoes and eggs ($10) or beans and eggs ($9). Innovative and delicious. Giant portions. Great service.

Ate here while staying in town for a day. The quality of the food is exceptional, which is unsurprising given that it’s sourced from a local farm owned by the same people. On top of that we found the dishes were creative and well executed. We had the Cuban sandwich and their take on a Monte Cristo. Both had nice... More

Can't recommend enough! Everything we ate here was delicious (we ate here several times while in CDA), and they had lots of gluten-free options (made me happy), plus we were happy with how much food was local (I was thrilled to be able to have local raw goat cheese). We would eat here every day if we visited the area... More

Amazing breakfast! The sourdough toast is the best I have ever had, even in San Fran! Ordered and omelet and biscuits and gravy with potatoes..... I am so glad we stumbled on this place on our way back home!

Friendly service. Good blueberry pancakes. Need to go back for lunch as they don't serve lunch on weekends.
