Great menu, very friendly staff. The restaurant is in a bit of a quiet block but so close and easy to walk to. The menu is varied and the food delicious. I love that they use all local ingredients. Would definately go again if we find ourselves in Spokane.

We ate here two nights in a row because we were tired and could walk the short distance from The Ruby Hotel. The food was excellent--especially the duck entree. The quail was lovely also and the risotto was perfect--quite an accomplishment. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The cheesecake was especially wonderful..

My wife and I started with some nice wine and their regularly featured Crab Chowder. It was a decent potato soup, but certainly not crab chowder. Next was Caesar salad (with walnuts?). It had plenty of Parmesan, however very scant dressing, as in - nonexistent. Next, we moved on feeling duped by the recommending motel owner.

We called ahead of time to find out if we needed a reservation, and were told we did not, I asked what time they closed etc.. let her know we were on our way. We headed to the restaurant, it was probably 15 minutes after making the call when we walked in, the waitress said they were closing, I explained... More

Scratch always delivers great, fresh food no matter the season. As residents of CdA, we have found that many downtown restaurants are not worth visiting in the winter. Scratch seems to appreciate the fact that people who live here like good food as much as the summer tourists. My husband and I can always count on Scratch for great, fresh... More

This is our 5th visit to Scratch. Love it for lunch and dinner. The calamari is the best I've had in Spokane. Served with 3 dipping sauces, they are all so tasty you can't decide which to have. The Caesar salad is excellent. They happily add extra anchovies, which is bonus to me! My Ahi tuna was perfectly prepared, as... More

Had a fabulous meal last night! From the front door, we were greeted by a lovely smile and from that point on things continued to get better and better. Great decor, beautiful food and wine plus a dessert to die for. Full belly, happy heart and a few laughs...life is good!

I had the pan-seared sea bass with potato croquette and carrots. Nice white wine paired well. Husband started with an amazing GF crab chowder that was rich and creamy. His entree was the beef broccoli that was so generous as to be left unfinished. Would definitely go back! Best meal in Coeur d'Alene.
