Had another enjoyable lunch there with a friend who had never been there. Both of us were pleased, as I usually am. The French onion soup is always a winner, the waitstaff is always helpful, knowledgeable and heads-up. One of our very favorite Coeur d'Alene eateries.

Excellent, creative, menu. Wonderful service, great prices. Simply, we left Chicago for Portland 14 days ago and this is the best meal we've had on our whole trip.

Nice place--well appointed and comfortable. Excellent service and food. Many locals in the crowd and the manager clearly knew them. A bonus is 40% off bottles of wine on Tuesday nights. You can cork your bottle and take teh rest home--a bonus. All in all good food and value.

First visit was mother's day buffet, very busy but very tasty food (great lamb). I talked my neighbors into a combined birthday dinner at the bistro and we all ordered the shrimp and grits. None of us were talking as we were quietly savoring every delicious bite. I can't wait to eat that again.

At first glance, this place is beautiful, nicely appointed and comfortable. Nice wine selection and food that sounds appealing. On vacation to visit family in Coeur d'Alene we chose the Bistro for lunch. 3pm shouldn't be busy so sounded like a great idea. Well, we were absolutely wrong. Service was terrible. While we were one of 3 tables being served... More

And as a bonus, on Tuesday bottled wine is half off! Very nice staff and very good food. Nothing exotic, well prepared fish (although not local... somewhat surprising)

The fish tacos were not very good. The bench seat in the booth was very uncomfortable. The music, atmosphere and service on the other was good.

A very nice restaurant in an out of the way section of town. The sandwiches appeared excellent. I ordered the gumbo and it was very disappointing. One small piece of chicken was the only meat I could find even though the menu states clearly that there are certain seafood that goes with it. Otherwise the service was good and the... More

The Bistro on Spruce is a Coeur d' Alene staple for me. I've been there at least a dozen times. They has reliably great food and service. It's a good choice for a dinner for two or brunch for eight. Owner Chris is usually around to regale customers with tales, jokes and wine, and manager Lyndsey makes everybody feel like... More

Bistro is a terrific local favorite. Owner Chris always there, checking on customers and doing the little "extras". Extensive wine list, carefully chosen. Excellently prepared food, fairly priced but not cheap. Tapas is nice - before 6pm little plates with wine specials on Tuesday - nice date night. Family okay, though. Not a "bar" atmosphere at all. Very classy, but... More
