Valentine's Day (Not-so)Special

Here is the quick version for those who don't want all the details - we had a reservation for Valentine's where we paid a deposit and pre-ordered food, when we showed up they couldn't find our reservation. They sat us at the bar and we had to go up to the podium 15 min later after a server had... read more

This is our standby resturant. Meals are consistent and drinks are delicious (my favorite is The Ginger). Seriously, this may have one of the best, most consistent, delicious, mixed-drink menu in Boise. The food is just as consistent and delicious. Good Thai!

Mai Thai is a great treasure here in Boise. You can count on the quality of the food, the excellent service and great professionalism. I am not a buffet person and the lunch buffet here is definitely worth a visit. Great value, great food, and fast in and out! I highly recommend this spot.

The menu in the bar is different than the restaurant, and the happy hour is buy one, get one. The Happy Hour menu has offerings for as little as $2, up to $7, but the food includes edamame, spring rolls, Thai tacos (yum!) and poke. The drinks are expertly made, with decent wine offerings and local and craft beer. The... More

My boyfriend and I drove through Boise on a road trip and haphazardly stopped in here for a late dinner. It has been 2 years and many Thai restaurants all over the country since, and we still talk about it! We snuck in with about 20 minutes to close but the staff were very gracious and happy to serve us.... More

For lovers of Thai cuisine, Mai Thai is superior. But when you couple their excellent dishes with their gorgeous decor, you have a winning combination. That's exactly why you need to arrive early during the lunch hour to beat the buffet crowd. The same is true for dinner: go early! Affordable and delectable, Mai Thai is superb.

We have eaten here several times. While there is seating for eating in the bar area, the main dining area is a long rectangular-shaped room --- as you can see in the pictures provided by other TA reviewers. Booths line each of the long walls & are separated by translucent curtains. Smaller tables for two flank the water feature in... More

We had a really good dinner - and the staff was amazing! We started with some sharable appetizers (Satays, Pot Stickers, Spring rolls -- all really good) - then onto some great meals (Pad Thai, some sushi, and their special hidden dragon red curry -- all fantastic!!!

Let me start out by saying...this is a fantastic place to eat. The food was amazing and the service was spot on. The establishment is very professionally run with the wait staff dressed impeccably and very professional in their demeanor and interaction with the customers. As far as the atmosphere---it was totally unique! The lighting was dim lending itself to... More

Tom Khan Gai (Thai coconut soup) was fabulous. Mass saman curry is served with a little twist...sweet potato instead of plain potatoes and a little naan bread too, basil pork dish...again, delicious! Excellent saki menu and this restaurant serves sushi as well as Thai food. Ambience is excellent and service superb. Owners and cooks are authentically Thai, which probably explains... More
