We are travelling USA and were desperate for proper food and NOT fast food. We found what we were looking for in the Taj Mahal in Boise. Great range of Indian tastes for the discerning restaurant go-er. Waiting times were ideal - why rush a beautiful meal. Service was splendid and the host made us feel very welcome. Portions were... The ambiance is very nice along with the service and wait staff. We enjoyed our evening but were not that impressed with the food. The spicing was excellent. Having said that I ordered the chicken tikki biryani. This dish was long on rice (yes that is what biryani is) but very short on chicken. The portion was very large but... More

This is an outstanding place for Indian food. If you have never had Indian food before...be brave and give it a shot. This is a family run business. Every time I go to Boise...I make sure to visit the Taj Mahal. If you need parking...there is a parking structure in the same building as the Taj Mahal. The entrance to... More

On the recommendations of some locals, we went to Taj Majal in Boise and were very glad that we did. The host and wait-staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful. The food they recommended was impeccable, and the entire dinner was delicious. My local friends were delighted to hear that I shared their enthusiasm for Taj Majal, and we will all... More

When we travel we search out Indian restaurants. When we discovered Taj Mahal in downtown Boise it is difficult for us not to eat both lunch and dinner here in the same day! The food and service is fantastic! We don't visit Boise without eating at the Taj Mahal at least once.

Delicious, delicious, delicious! Absolutely authentic, fabulous food. I have been going to Taj Mahal since I was young but did not know about their new location downtown until earlier this year. I am so happy to have re-located them. As a side note- definitely try the lassi!!

While my husband and I were pondering what to eat on our first day in Boise, we decided on Taj Mahal since we (mostly me) were craving Indian food. Had we known the service would be slow (they only had 2 workers), the food was exceptionally good!

One of the best Indian cuisine's in Boise. Authentic Indian food, and the service is genuine. If you want a taste of India, this is the place to be.

This restaurant offers a pleasing atmosphere to its customers. The owner/manager is a nice and honest guy. The good part ends here. Wait times after ordering the food were high when we visited. Our expectations from the taste were high but the food turned out to be ordinary.
