Ambiance: Taj is a nice place. The room has some odd corners, but it general it's well laid out and enough rooms between tables to be reasonably private. Average furnishings, and a nice cultural corner in the back featuring something Bollywood on the screen. Staff: Very nice people, very attentive. Food & Drink: Great beer selection, though I'll admit I... More

Taj Mahal is my favorite Indian restaurant. From business meetings to family celebrations, they serve up delicious dishes. The Naan bread is to die for. And the beer selection is amazing!

My husband and I have had Indian food from coast to coast and this was our favorite! There is a huge selection on the menu of great food. Each dish is prepared for your order with fresh ingredients- which makes a huge difference in the taste and quality. There is a nice beer selection as well. Additionally, we like to... More

This was the first time I had to enjoy Indian cuisine in several years and found the Taj Mahal met my expectations. The service was terrific and I had an enjoyable conversation with the owner while I was waiting for my meal. I tried an excellent appetizer with assorted Indian breads and sauces that was too much for one person... More

New to Boise, I went with my good friend who highly recommend this as a great place for dinner. Being later in the evening, I ordered some lite fair. The homemade bread is to die for. The choice of spices and seasoning is quite impressive. The appetizers are tasty. My friend's entree was so large, I ended up eating more... More

We are travelling USA and were desperate for proper food and NOT fast food. We found what we were looking for in the Taj Mahal in Boise. Great range of Indian tastes for the discerning restaurant go-er. Waiting times were ideal - why rush a beautiful meal. Service was splendid and the host made us feel very welcome. Portions were... The ambiance is very nice along with the service and wait staff. We enjoyed our evening but were not that impressed with the food. The spicing was excellent. Having said that I ordered the chicken tikki biryani. This dish was long on rice (yes that is what biryani is) but very short on chicken. The portion was very large but... More

This is an outstanding place for Indian food. If you have never had Indian food before...be brave and give it a shot. This is a family run business. Every time I go to Boise...I make sure to visit the Taj Mahal. If you need parking...there is a parking structure in the same building as the Taj Mahal. The entrance to... More

On the recommendations of some locals, we went to Taj Majal in Boise and were very glad that we did. The host and wait-staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful. The food they recommended was impeccable, and the entire dinner was delicious. My local friends were delighted to hear that I shared their enthusiasm for Taj Majal, and we will all... More

When we travel we search out Indian restaurants. When we discovered Taj Mahal in downtown Boise it is difficult for us not to eat both lunch and dinner here in the same day! The food and service is fantastic! We don't visit Boise without eating at the Taj Mahal at least once.
