They were not busy at all we got our salads fast but after he took our salads it took another 40 mins to get our meal, he said 3 more mins and it took 20 after he told us that. They made us late to our event.

My name is Franck Bacquet , I was the Chef at Angels restaurant to the 10.25.2014. I am very sorry. Just know food is my passion I will never send a plate of food that I don't respect. Cooking is fantastic when you can create a beautiful dishes with some beautiful ingredients. . ....I am no longer the chef at... More

I have not written a review in over a year however, I was compelled to do so tonight after my expectations were CRUSHED. I had been so excited to give Angell's another try after hearing that the French chef from Le Coq Rogue had moved here. Due to the very high prices, I decided to wait until the "Dine Out... More

After reading other's reviews, I think I was at a different restaurant. In all fairness, the staff was very nice and pleasant, however, the food was not to our liking - a little bit too exotic for us. We really enjoyed the food the "old" Angell's served and dined there often.

First the food...so good, and perfectly prepared by a French chef. Don't be off put by the French menu, the food is absolutely wonderful. The rack of lamb was by far the best lamb we have ever had. We had dinner on a Saturday night and we expected to wait and have it be loud. Neither was the case. This... More

We had not been here since the big ownership change and I was under the impression that it was not as classy as it used to be. I was so wrong! The decor romantic. The soft jazz music in the background is wonderful. We came during happy hour which was 2 for 1 drinks and the house wine was very... More

Attentive service, interesting menu, quiet and comfortable inside on a very hot Boise evening. They do the blended, slurry gazpacho (we prefer the thin soup with add-them-yourself vegetable chunks and croutons, but restaurants everywhere seem to be doing the thicker one). My wife's fish was well prepared. My schnitzel (pork cutlets in this case) was quite good. Portions are generous.... More

A few of my good friends had told me that Angell's had new owners and more recently got a new head chef too. I remember when Jack Chase use to run things years ago and we ALL loved his food, so after some great comments I decided to check it out for lunch. I tried the special of switzersnitzel (spelling)... Our choir group held our year end banquet at Angell's. Everything ran smoothly. We had a set amount per person to spend (without drinks) and Marika was able to come back with several options. Our food was hot and tasty (not one complaint!)! The staff could not have been more helpful - we had to rearrange some tables after eating... More

True disappointment. Mothers Day Buffet was small; very sparse in what was available; gravy; quiche; potatoes; remained empty. 1 small ham carving spot. Squeezed into seating areas; bartender couldn't keep up w bloody Mary's or mimosas at 2pm; stopped the Bloody Mary "bar" bc of staffing; manager swearing "f" this. I was so embarrassed that we chose such a flop... More
