The Basque Market is located in the heart of The Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. We specialize in imports from the Basque Country and the Iberian Peninsula. Come get a taste of Spain during our daily tapas lunch, and on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday enjoy paella served on our patio. Happy Hour at The Basque Market means relaxing with a glass of fine wine or indulging in our specialty, frozen Sangria Blanco! We can cater parties large or small and have a wonderful pick-up menu for when you don't feel like cooking. Cooking classes and wine tasting events are open to the public throughout the year!

A great taste of Basque country

We tasted their (awesome) paella before at a catered event, so we thought to try their Friday night 3-course meal. The visit did not disappoint, we got a great taste of Basque food. In particular the mains were spectacular. We had the pork and the lamb, and as the menu changes bi-weekly it might be... read more

A small little simple place, but really good food. We ordered half a dozen tapas --- really too much for lunch. Croquettes were fabulous --- creamy inside and crisp crusts. Meatballs very juicy. Potatoes well doused in paprika. Paella rolls were what your Basque mom would have made.

This cool little market also makes some nice little Basque bites. The fish croquettes were the best thing I ate. I missed the paella. :-( Go right at opening if you don't want that to happen to you!

We took a small detour on our way to Baker City from Mountain Home and sought out Basque Market in this unique sector of Boise. The sights, smells and tastes of Basque Market will please anyone. I had paella and Anita has tapas. So scrumptious...wow! The wait staff was friendly and attentive. They recommended wine accompaniments and we loved them!... More

Just walked in to check out the market prices. Seemed quite limited and very expensive. Since we didn't eat there it is probably unfair to rate. Also we are from a major metropolitan area where speciality food is easy to obtain at more reasonable prices.

Even during the very busy Jaialdi, the Basque Market maintained its standards and the quality of its food. What a wonderful place to show off to out of town guests. The staff couldn't have been nicer to a "girlfriend reunion" of four women who got to know the Basque Country 40 years ago while studying in Spain. Tortilla is wonderful!

We really liked the set up. During Jaialdi they cooked paella outside. We also went inside the restaurant for tapas and to check out the market section. Great selection. The gazpacho was delicious. The tapas were good, although the tortilla was a bit dry for my taste. The selection for tapas ready to go was: tortilla de patatas, albondigas, croquetas... More

We stopped in there a few times during Jaiaildi (Basque festival), so it was definitely crowded. I was surprised at how small it is. Based on what I read in my travel book, I was expected a rather large multi-vendor market inside. But I still enjoyed perusing the varied, well-stocked products from Spain, France, and Portugal. They sold Basque Tapas,... More
