The Basque Market is located in the heart of The Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. We specialize in imports from the Basque Country and the Iberian Peninsula. Come get a taste of Spain during our daily tapas lunch, and on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday enjoy paella served on our patio. Happy Hour at The Basque Market means relaxing with a glass of fine wine or indulging in our specialty, frozen Sangria Blanco! We can cater parties large or small and have a wonderful pick-up menu for when you don't feel like cooking. Cooking classes and wine tasting events are open to the public throughout the year!

Great find for the gourmet palate

Accidentally stumbled upon this great market after eating at a cafe next door. True family business with a young lady who helped me find both dulce and picante paprika and toured me around the other offerings- up-sold me on some delectable tuna as well. Great place.

Went here for a business dinner. Had no idea what Basque food was all about - and while it was a bit heavy on the starches, it was amazing. We were there on a Tuesday night - it was pretty quiet, but it was a memorable evening. Ate and ate and ate and ate - and drank some, too, but... More

If you can get here when they have paella available, you are in for a treat. Great tapas as well, and often have wine tasting with wines from Basque country. First Thursdays are a favorite for the wide selection of food and drink.

Cooking Classes are very popular and we were fortunate to attend The Basque Market’s Paella Class. This was a fabulous evening which included a Paella cooking demonstration by Tara McElhose-Eiguren where we learned how to use traditional techniques to prepare a delicious seafood, chorizo and chicken paella. We also sampled their Olive Tapenade served on Crostini. , the finished paella... More

When you step into the Basque Market, you feel like you are almost in the Basque country. Hams are hanging from the ceiling. The owners and wait staff are very friendly and helpful. They serve Paella and Pintxos for lunch and dinner. My wife and I went there for Paella one evening. It was very good. We have tried their... More

First off, what a charming, adorable woman that runs this place! I really enjoyed visiting with her about Spanish cooking and ingredients as I have been known to throw some big Paella Parties myself. We went for tapas at lunch but there just never seemed to be more than a couple varieties and only1 or 2 pieces of each. We... More

We have the Pintxos Tapas on Friday night. We gave the unlimited tapas a try. The salmon and roast beef on toast excellent, we each had one. Then the choices went to deepfried. I found the choices limited and then not replaced so as we went back to try more there was even less. Fifteen dollars was a bit steep... More

Anytime we visit Boise in the summer we have to stop by in the afternoon and try the Sangrias. They make them in a freezy machine so they are slushy. Best way to spend a summer afternoon is enjoying a glass of sangria while nibbling on the Tapas offerings.

This was our first time dining at the basque market. We had a lunch that included pintxos, paella, and a Spanish red wine. The food was good and the service was exceptional. We will be sure to come back the next time we are in Boise .
