The Basque Market is located in the heart of The Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. We specialize in imports from the Basque Country and the Iberian Peninsula. Come get a taste of Spain during our daily tapas lunch, and on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday enjoy paella served on our patio. Happy Hour at The Basque Market means relaxing with a glass of fine wine or indulging in our specialty, frozen Sangria Blanco! We can cater parties large or small and have a wonderful pick-up menu for when you don't feel like cooking. Cooking classes and wine tasting events are open to the public throughout the year!

Great market and tapas

We really liked the set up. During Jaialdi they cooked paella outside. We also went inside the restaurant for tapas and to check out the market section. Great selection. The gazpacho was delicious. Even during the very busy Jaialdi, the Basque Market maintained its standards and the quality of its food. What a wonderful place to show off to out of town guests. The staff couldn't have been nicer to a "girlfriend reunion" of four women who got to know the Basque Country 40 years ago while studying in Spain. Tortilla is wonderful!

We stopped in there a few times during Jaiaildi (Basque festival), so it was definitely crowded. I was surprised at how small it is. Based on what I read in my travel book, I was expected a rather large multi-vendor market inside. But I still enjoyed perusing the varied, well-stocked products from Spain, France, and Portugal. They sold Basque Tapas,... More

We visited the Basque Market during Boise's Jaialdi Basque festival. The paella was so delicious, we went back TWICE during our short stay in town. We also ate their croquetas (croquettes), solomo (pork) sandwiches, and a wonderful rice pudding. The Basque Market also has a great assortment of food products as well as a terrific selection of wines, including Basque... More

After years of having this place on the bucket list, we finally decided this was the trip to go an extra two hours out of the way to visit The Basque Market, and were so happy we did. Stocked up on all sorts of deliciousness and a couple fun souvenirs to boot. The owner was super friendly and recommended a... More

We were here with a large group for lunch. They serve Pincho (the Basque equivalent to Tapas). Everything was delicious! It is a great way to sample a lot of different things. They also serve wine and beer! I highly recommend this place, it is fun and different!! And since it is a market you can buy most of the... More

We went at the tail end of the Paella lunch on a Wednesday. It was a bit crowded and hectic when we arrived, but the staff went out of their way to make sure that we go what we needed and that we had a good experience. Even if you aren't eating there, I would suggest going by on a... More

One Sunday each month The Basque Market offers a fixed price breakfast menu for hearty appetites. It is very popular and it is advisable to make your reservation about a month ahead of time to ensure a place at the long tables serving the Basque Sheepherder style breakfast. Everything is included in the meal, except the white sangrias (which I... More
