Staff is friendly and the sandwich, Reuben, was tasty with lots of meat. Good for a quick lunch. Price was not a bargain but not bad for an average value.

I have been going to this place since its old location and I have never been disappointed. The time when we were waiting for the new one to open up has very long wait. The staff and owner are very friendly and the owner talks to people as they eat to see how they like it and how it could... More

My sandwich was just tons of bread and not much meat. I think it was owner going around talking to everybody in the restaurant with a heavy German accent. He should focus on good food and not trying to convince patrons that this is a special place serving good sandwiches. That is NOT the case.

I recently discovered this place and I am addicted! They make amazing hot sandwiches, and the cookies are so tasty! I always get the bacon steakin mushroom, its how a steak sandwich should be. My only complaint is they aren't open when I get off work (which may be a good thing because I would go there everyday). Make sure... More

My wife has had to be a "nutritionist" due to certain negative reactions from certain foods. So, when we walked in about to drive to Pocatello, ID, I asked if their cold cuts were as "good" as Boars Head. The guy behind the counter (new owner?) was obviously insulted. The first rule in professionally responding to a question about a... More

This place is the real deal. Service is great, George is totally involved in quality. Salad, soup, sandwich, don't be shy you won't be disappointed. Gets hectic at lunch because it's a small ship but hang in there, it's worth the chaos. Best deli in ID for sure.

I used to LOVE Deli George. The Greek sandwich was to die for. I brought my husband in for the 1st time specifically for that sandwich and it was no longer on the menu. I got the NY Steak and he had the BLTA and it was fair at best. Extremely disappointing. Probably won't be back. The staff was extremely... More

I work in downtown Boise and used to work over by their old location. Deli George has ALWAYS had the best sandwiches around. They go above and beyond with their service. It's family owned and operated AND George Sr does rounds to check on customers. He has even, on multiple occasions, made samples for us to try of new pasta... More

We ate here after going to the Old Penitentiary. They are clearly very busy and very efficient. We had sandwiches and salads. Everything was fresh with quality ingredients. Staff was very helpful. Wish we lived in Boise so we could eat there again.
