One of my favorite lunch spots in Boise! Authentic empanadas that are deep fried deliciousness - so don't expect health food. Owner is always super friendly and helpful. My favorites are the El Puerco and Hawaiian with jalapeños! A must try!

The food is quite good but almost all is fried. The owner is living his American dream and I have never seen him without a huge smile and a friendly greeting to all who walk through his door. His wife does the cooking and you rarely see her but the food is tasty and hot and his service is really... More

They have a wide variety of empanadas but I came for the classics- pollo, carne, jamón y queso. They were all very good. I would like to have seen empanadas al horno (baked) which I prefer. All they do are fried. They are still delicious though. My favorite are the chicken. They are very large. They were pretty moist and... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boise. The service is fantastic and the food is consistently delicious and a great price. A two empanada meal that comes with fries and a drink is only $5. Single empanada are only $2.50 each. What a deal, especially for authentic Argentine empanadas!

Sorry for the Spanglish, but you'll feel a little continental after visiting Tango's...as I do. GREAT meat and veggie and cheese empanadas. I have NEVER met the cook, I've seen her glance out and smile, but the owner/counter/ambassador of all things great is phenomenal. ALWAYS, ALWAYS feel incredibly welcome. He is such a pleasant man, I'd go there if he... More

If you know real empanadas or make them, you HAVE to try Tango's. These are primarily Argentine but they even rival the real Chilean ones, too. Plan 2 empanadas per person and then split one or two of the dessert ones. El Puerco was our favorite but the Gaucho is closer to the Chilean ground beef ones. The kids loved... More

Went here the other day and really enjoyed it! I had the Gaucho which was the most authentic per the owner. The crust of the empanadas was fantastic on all of the ones we tried. I think of all that I tasted the best was the Gaucho as it was excellent. The Rancho was pretty good but I liked the... More

Unfortunately, I visited a couple of years ago, and found a hair in my empanada. I won't be returning.

I came here based on the reviews. I have to say it was only average at best. I don't understand the top ratings.

I have been to Tango's and it was ok. I am not writing to complain about the food, but simply that this can hardly be rated the best place to eat in Boise. I mean, seriously? Has as much cred as the usual Best of Boise that has literally ranked Olive Garden as the best Italian restaurant in town. Just... More
