Excellent - and fun

Worth going just for the décor - some amazing artwork there - and some of it is just fun to watch. Very trendy and the bar can be packed - but they pour great drinks, and the steaks & sides are awesome. Can't wait to get back there!

Different type of decor. Big. Maybe slightly gaudy. But the food we had for Happy Hour was good. We ate on the patio and I am glad we were out there as it was very noisy inside and loud music. You could not talk across the table and hear. Too bad, because the food needed subdued sounds. You could not... More

This was a very busy restaurant on a Friday night. We had 12 people at our table which was nicely situated with reservations in advance. The bar drinks were a bit pricey for the cost. The restaurant specializes in unusual entrees. I was not impressed with my meal which consisted of a large, fatty pork chop and a smoked stuffed... More

Everything we had was good. Loved the beet salad, our entrees were really good. Dessert was ok. It is a fun atmosphere, fun presentation of food, and everything was good.

Not a cheap place to eat by any means, but I do enjoy taking guests. Two for 1 drinks is a must. Staff are very polite. Be sure to ask for Carlos and his famous guacamole. He'll make it for you and even ads the amount of spice/heat to your taste. Be sure to tip him for his efforts. My... More

Love the ambiance, the food, and the table side guacamole!!! Unique place for great appetizers, drinks, and food. Only drawback is that it can get fairly noisy in the bar section, but would recommend highly for any occasion.

At the entry I was a little worried by the level of the bar noise, however the 4 of us were taken thru to the restaurant & seated where we could have a pleasant conversation without raising our voices. The table service was great & our waiter was very professional with a good knowledge of both the wine list &... More

Barbacoa is a trendy and refreshing change from the generally conservative fine dining options in the city. It has a great vibe and is trendy with eclectic and interesting decor. The visual senses are stimulated as are the taste buds. The menu is interesting and the signature Hot Rock Filet a must try. The restaurant is a bustling and great... More

If looking to try many flavors of this Latin cuisine, check out the appetizer list. So much to choose from to taste and won't break the bank. The mini tacos allow to try multiple styles, calamari is made as sticks instead of traditional rings and the table side guacamole was just the perfect amount for 3, not so hungry businessmen.

The house salad left me desiring something better. It was like salad from a bag. But the paella did not disappoint. It was almost as good as my own. Dessert was a beautiful little single serving round cheesecake, not simply a slice from a big one. Hard to have better than Barbacoa, which is why we keep coming back.
