I love this restaurant. From the minute you walk in you are taken with the amazing decor, unlike ANYTHING else in Boise! The food is fabulous, especially the tableside prepared guacamole! Don't miss the martinis served in a frozen martini glass. Literally, a glass made of ice! Love this place!

Good service, fresh guac made tableside. Eclectic flavorful food arrived hot. Outdoor seating (seasonal) a noisy atmosphere.

A local colleague of mine recommended the restaurant as one of his favorite places to eat. After visiting, I now know why! Ate here on a Tuesday evening and the place was pretty busy. The food is an interesting combo of options, but has some traditional Argentinean meats. The restaurant is broken down into two parts: open lounge and table... More

This restaurant has wonderful food, especially the guacamole. A little pricey for everything. The atmosphere was definitely interesting, and I was looking around at details most of the meal. However, personally I found many elements of the decorating a little creepy, and don't enjoy naked pictures of women on the wall. I'm sure others would enjoy this more than I... More

Run, don't walk, to Barbacoa in Boise Idaho. YOU GOTTA EAT HERE! Incredible facility design and décor - a fusion of Mediterranean and Moroccan décor, coupled with antiques, an amazing "wine tunnel", original art and statuary, all back lit by real candle light. The menu was creative, tasty and presented with showmanship. the table side Guacamole was very nice, the... More

This was not our first visit and it probably won't be our last, but we were pretty disappointed with our visit. The food was as good as always and the dining room service was good if a little slow. Our biggest issues were the wait and table location. We made reservations for our anniversary over a week in advance as... More

Had a great experience at the restaurant with an elegant atmosphere and affordable prices. The food appetizers were wonderful and tasty. the service was great and very attentive. We had a friends reunion type event and took up a large table and the staff was very accommodating. The highlight is when they make the fresh guacamole at the table and... More

Everytime I'm in Boise - I have to have dinner at Barbacoa. The Hot Rock Filet is my favorite! With some calamari to start, some shrimp on the side....GREAT!!!

I have never really understood why people think this place is so great. The drinks and appetizers are good, the guacamole is good but, the entrees, well, they always have left me wanting something different. Paella, a dish I love, it was just okay, nothing special, not very flavorful. The fish, well, it was okay also, but nothing stood out... More
