Come here for a great buffet!

I work close to this restaurant and have come here from time to time for lunch. It has been a little expensive but they have totally reworked their prices. You can buy the "Dutch Express" for around $7.50. That includes the meat of the day, 2 sides, a roll and a drink. The cook there really knows... read more

A nice family owned restaurant featuring southern/ home cooked style food. Fresh cooked catfish, hush puppies, sweet potato soufflé and green beans was my selection for about $9.95 A nice spacious family style eatery (presently being renovated) They also feature delicious baked goods including Dutch style pies and pastries (baked fresh in their adjoining bakery) that make your mouth water.... Not over priced, for the few that feel that way stay with the national pig trough all you can eat chains(less snooty people while we eat;) It is not the least expensive place to eat, but the food is quality and the people who serve you are extremely kind and helpful. We meet there as a family several times a... More

I had dinner here a few years back, was in the area with the wife and told her how good it was. WOW what a disappointment!!!!!!!! The restaurant very looks run down, the plates, cups and silverware are very worn , worse those I remember from high school lol. My wife would not eat due to the condition of the... More

When we are craving fried chicken my husband and I drive to Wrens to the Dutch House. The food is delicious and we don't feel the prices are too high as some reviewers stated. I usually get the small plate which is plenty for me and my husband gets the regular plate. The bakery has delicious pies, cakes and cinnamon... More

We live in Northeast GA. We always plan our trips to S. GA around a time that we can have either lunch or dinner at the Dutch House. We've been eating here at least once or twice a year for several years. The food is delicious!! I always have the roast; my husband, the fish. The desserts are wonderful! The... More

Here is a bit of trivia: the Dutch House was once one of the original Stuckey's Pecan Shoppe stores! It's been added to over the years lengthwise but you can still see the original architecture. Anyway, we have stopped here twice while taking the old highway, US1, to and from Augusta. The food is served buffet style and is delicious.... More

Stopped here on the way to Macon. It is a cafeteria style arrangement. The fried catfish was very good. My wife had the fried chicken which was excellent. The Brussels sprouts were very good. The prices were a little high for a cafeteria. The place was very clean.

We had heard about this restaurant in the little town of Wrens, Ga. It is about 40 miles away from where we live and we decided to take a Saturday drive for lunch. When we went inside we were met by two young ladies who described the process and pricing. It is cafeteria style and there are 2 or 3... More

This place has some good home cooking. The only thing I don't like is the prices have really gone up the last few years. I used to eat here for lunch from time to time but it has gotten a little pricey for something like that. If you want some down home cooking and don't mind shelling out $14 for... More
