We have gotten take-out from Ipps on Main on a couple of occasions. While their rolls are THE BEST of any italian restaurant around here, their food is NOT the same as a regular Ippolitos. I don't know why I expected it to be the same, maybe it was my fault, but I have a "usual order" that I get... More

I absolutely love the atmosphere...minus the TV's throughout the restaurant. This is an old house with lots of charm, turned into a restaurant. If you must have a TV in the bar area, fine...but you can't hear the TV's in the main dining area anyway, and they are annoying and distracting. We were there on a Saturday night without reservations.... More

I rarely write bad reviews on her but as much as I WANTED this to be a good restaurant, it simply isn't. I thought maybe "Ipps" would be a better Ippolito's but it isn't even on par. Think what you want, call me picky but I'm an Italian from NJ so this is the real skinny -accept it. 1) wine... More

When I was there I thought it was rather unclean. As you can see from below they got a "C" on their Public Health Inspection. Both my friend and I has stomach aches after eating there. Until they "clean up" I won't eat there. ****** WELCOME TO THE CHEROKEE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTION PAGE Brought to you by the Georgia... More

For Atlanta-based readers already familiar with the Ippolito's restaurants, this one isn't a revelation. That being said, their Pepe appetizer is sinful and wonderful--it has that whole sweet/savory thing going on. The prices are reasonable considering the mammoth portions. Add in crusty, house-made garlic knots and salad, and you will need help getting out of your chair. Tasty and hearty... More

What makes this IPPs special is its location in an old house. Nice outdoor seating in the heart of Woodstock.

Ipp's has it's high points including attentive service and amazing garlic rolls, but the rest of the menu is typical, average Italian/American fare. It's not exciting or interesting , but not bad either. It's exactly what you would expect from every other Italian/ American restaurant across the US. It's a great place to take my parents who are not adventurous... More

This place is amazing. Service is always good and the garlic rolls that are served with meals are huge and to die for. Portion sizes are large, so I always get a second meal out of it.

My wife and I enjoyed a very good date night dinner at Ipp's. There was an expected wait on a Fri night but the time was shorter than we were told. After a little confusion over who our server was supposed to be, we were served promptly. The garlic rolls are very good but be careful to only eat one... More

Okay. I prefer more authentic italian, chef prepared dishes, but Ipp's is perfect for a family or hungry crowd. Expect the typical garlic rolls, big pasta bowls and parmesan chicken. Portions are generous and heavy. Atmosphere is warm and friendly with a bit of an old pizzeria feel.
