Good place

Good food and friendly staff. We sat outside and really had a good time. Food was good and appetizers were good. I would recommend it for a date night.

The menu has some great Southern fare and delicious cocktails. The staff are always friendly and professional. We've eaten here many times for a variety of occassions. We bring our friends from out of state to enjoy Southern food with a unique twist. Sunday brunch is always good and their Bloody Mary bar is awesome.

My girlfriends and I ate there last week and it was very, very good. I had chicken and waffles (my first time ever) and it was amazing. Their fried mac n cheese was delish!

We always enjoy coming to Freight. The food is always fresh, local with a little upscale touch without being pretentious. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming with a friendly staff, especially James! Can't get enough of their Braised Pork with greens that have the right amount of kick. Just had the Chicken and Dumplings the other night. Gnocchi used... More

My husband and I visited Freight Kitchen & Tap on October 9th. We came to dinner here on a whim and after the recommendation from the folks at The Pie Bar. I am glad we did. We loved the ambience in the old train depot, and we settled on a house sangria and Not Your Father's Root Beer (my husband... More

My husband had the fried mac 'n cheese balls and biscuits and gravy for brunch and I had the crab cakes benedict. Wonderful! Way too much food but the waiter provided carry home containers before we could ask. Really good service. It was a little noisy but that wasn't the fault of the restaurant. Can't wait to go back and... More

We got to eat outside and were seated quickly on a Friday night. The interior of this old depot building is narrow, and is mostly centered around the bar. The outside tables are along the tracks overlooking the downtown, which was pretty much hopping with families out for the evening. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was... More

Stopped by on Labor Day – great food and very attentive service. Though we sat at a table, were actually waited on by the bartender – despite being busy, he was very attentive. Had an incredible BLT – made with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, with sweet potatoes fries on the side – unbelievable combination of tastes! Very nice... More

Stopped by for the brunch on Sunday and was impressed. The food was good, the service was good and the atmosphere was very nice. I had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuit is huge, however, the gravy was a little scarce. We also tried the shrimp and grits which were very tasty. The grits were well cooked and the... More
