Great food!!!

We'd been wanting to try Donovan's for a long time, glad we finally did. Pretzels and beer cheese app was great. Our table tried the patty melt and fish and chips. It was all really good. Service was on the slow side of acceptable, but waitress and servers were all nice. Had to bump down to "4... read more

Good menu to choose from, quick friendly service. I had the burger, husband had the Shillelagh. We'll be back for Sunday brunch!

We have eaten here many times since first moving to Woodstock. Really liked it at first; they had a banger sandwich my daughter loved (which is no longer on the menu), the ambiance was nice, they had live music one time we were in there. They have an annual tasting event where you get to evaluate new and potential dishes... More

I am very sorry you were disappointed in your visit. To start with, the bangers were just not a good seller for us, although it was one of my favorites too. We have them on special periodically. We still have music on Saturdays and some Fridays. The Chef's Challenge this year is on August 8th, cobbler club members will be... More

If you like good Irish food or just good food in general this is the place! We had Mother's Day Brunch there, at my sisters in law suggestion. They came from NY to visit w/ my mother in law and wanted to try a good Irish pub down here. I never been before and I know they are particular about... More

The food is good quality and plentiful, if a bit unoriginal. Good beer and wine selection. Service is competent. The Irish food is the best on this menu--stick with that and you'll be okay.

Great food. Been several times and always has great food. The steak horse shoe is great, but true love is the philly steak. Never thought the best philly would be at an Irish joint. Service is a little slow, but worth it for the food.

We visited recently and found the service to be less than average. The waitress was difficult to find when we wanted to order or reorder drinks. The menu was not what I would consider very Irish being Irish myself; we ordered fish and chips and it was nothing more than overcooked battered fish and overly salted fries that were not... More

Family Gilleland... I am very sorry you were disappointed on your last visit with us, but its great you would be willing to try us out again. We are working very hard on the service issues. I am not sure why the fish and chips were not up to par, we normally get great reviews. Regardless, I appreciate your honest... More

Went to lunch at Donovan's with my wife and a friend of ours on a Monday. The place was almost deserted so our waitress was definitely able to pay good attention to us, but she also didn't hang over us or anything like that. I ordered the Shillelagh, which is a sandwich with ham, turkey, bacon, cheese and a mayo... More

Hey Gary, Thanks for the great review!!! Our lunch crowd is hit & miss not being in a very business populated area, But we more than make up for it later in the day. If you have not been to Donovan's for dinner, we have a more extensive menu than we serve for lunch. Thanks again for taking the time... More

The food is fine and the service is fine, but any atmosphere is completely ruined by the bass thumping coming from the dance studio next store. You can barely have a conversation with that going. It's very much like when you're sitting at a red light and some moron has their amplified sub-woofer blasting "Thump Thump Thump..." Recommend that you... More
