Great Lunch, Great Service

Went to lunch at Donovan's with my wife and a friend of ours on a Monday. The place was almost deserted so our waitress was definitely able to pay good attention to us, but she also didn't hang over us or anything like that. I ordered the Shillelagh, which is a sandwich with ham, turkey, bacon... read more

The food is fine and the service is fine, but any atmosphere is completely ruined by the bass thumping coming from the dance studio next store. You can barely have a conversation with that going. It's very much like when you're sitting at a red light and some moron has their amplified sub-woofer blasting "Thump Thump Thump..." Recommend that you... More

Was here for a Christmas party and had great food and drinks. My first time trying Irish food...The horseshoe was awesome! Will definitely be back!

I absolutely love this place. If you visit you have to order a Horseshoe. It's a pile of Texas Toast, Fries, Cheese, and your choice of meat. I love the Buffalo Chicken one. The peach cobbler here is unbelievable as well.

If I give a poor or negative review then I must also report a positive if things change and they did! We had occasion to re-visit Donovan's Pub on 1/16/15 (Friday evening). It was very busy so there would have been many opportunities for something to go awry, it didn't. The owner had commented on my last review that food... More

Had dinner there tonite and was VERY impressed with the service from both our waitress and Manager! The food took a little extra time (which we were not at all upset about) because they were very busy...the Manager took note of it... on his own and came over to apologize and also made the situation "right"! The food was VERY... More

The service is pleasant, the atmosphere is warm, and the food is good. They have burgers. a kids menu, and more traditional Irish things (bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie), They make a "shoe", which is stacked fries, your choice of meat, toast, and cheese. My husband loves it.

I wish I could wholeheartedly give this restaurant good reviews on food but I can't. We have been there several times and the food is average, I have ordered the fish on two occasions and each time it was terrible. Tasted like it had been frozen too long and then overcooked, it was mush on the inside. In all fairness,... More

Jill, I'm very sorry for our lackluster performance during your visits. We are always trying to improve both our food and service. We are fortunate to be one of the few restaurants to make it to a five year mark. Thank you for your kind words and for supporting us as a family and community business. Over the past five... More
