For good, solid BBQ, you just can't beat J. D.'s. Their pulled pork sandwiches are huge and very reasonably priced. I actually think they are probably the best BBQ in the Woodstock area.

I am an avid BBQ'er and mostly cook my own but we always get JD's Bar-B-Que for the 4th of July when we go out on our boat. This guy sure knows his BBQ and makes a great pulled pork sandwich and his BBQ beans and coleslaw are top notch as well. And as usual, the left overs taste even... More

JD and his staff really put their hearts into their BBQ. I remember when he had a tiny storefront in an old market on BF Rd. His place on Bells Ferry is always busy when I drive past, and his new place in downtown Acworth is gorgeous. Never disappointing. Great family run restaurant.

We were visiting family in the area and passed this "joint" and had to stop in! Coming from NY we are not known for BBQ and this was just what we wanted. Prices are great, service is friendly and the BBQ is outstanding and plentiful. I had a huge salad with pulled pork and used a combo of the spicy... More

Ok so some people have given mixed reviews about this little bbQ pit and I'm with both. You have to know what to eat to get the treat. Pulled pork and chicken it unbelievable. Cole slaw was great. Sweet tea was good. Chicken wings are so..so.. green beans pretty good. Wife loves the fried okra. They even give frequent buyers... More

After the reviews, I thought I would give a try on a business trip. Had the wings and rings. Server told me the most popular was the Sweet N Hot. Mistake for me. They were lathered in a very sweet sauce. I did taste at times a deep smoky flavor to the wings. The server says they are smoked then... More

I buy his sauce cause its way better than the stuff I make. And the brisket is very good and try the fried corn on the Cobb very different

The service was good and it is a friendly staff. The ribs are good and the meat falls off the bones. The beef brisket is very good with a deep smokey flavor. Served on paper plates and that was a minus at their prices. The Bbq sauce is very sweet and I prefer a more vinegar type sauce. Many sides... More

I've lived out here 12 years, but travel everywhere. Why people think this is good Bar-B-Q, I don't know. Dried out pork just doesn't do it for me!! I've given this place many opportunities to change my mind.It was a little better when it was truly a hole in the wall but not now. Keep it! Never again.
