Good entrees, average appetizers

The menu has several delicious sounding items in the menu. When we got our appetizers, we were a bit disappointed. The fish puppies and their sauce was almost flavorless. Nice restaurant, used a Groupon for the Sunday brunch. Just a word to the wise....drinks are NOT included and they are $2.50 each (coffee, juice, etc.) and there online brunch menu says free mimosas at noon, it is incorrect, now it's 12:30. The omelet I ordered had so much oil that I couldn't eat it, ask for lite oil if... More

Sunday brunch was good but was better when they had a carver. Dinners are good but pricey for us. Over all worth the visit and the staff is always great.

Delicious little place. First off, theres parking. If anyones been to dtown lately, youll understand the walking. But the restaurant is a real treat. Came in with three friends. Shared a nice bottle(ok 2). Finished it by the fire outside. Smaller scale menu. Not alot of fillers and items to distract. Its kind of a try-what-the-chef-prepared kind of place. Blueberry(or... The cost of the buffet might make you think you are getting something of quality, and a lot of it. The buffet is basic quality, something better than the national chains offer, but not what a quality restaurant might offer. There simply was not a great variety of food. The potatoes were not very hot. The salmon chafing dish was... More

We live about 30 miles from this restaurant, but let me simply say, it was worth the drive. The restaurant is in the Magnolia Thomas house (circa, 1911) which has the original hardwood floors, I suspect much of the trim. Our waitress was friendly, funny, and efficient. Try the fried chicken (two different styles)--my wife said it is he best... More

This is a lovely old house, with tables scattered around for privacy. It does not feel crowded, but rather, very spacious. The fried chicken, with a lime sauce, was magnificent. Very tender. Don't turn the lime sauce down without trying it. I could not stop eating it! I don't care for grits or mashed potatoes, and they brought delicious green... More

Excellent food, great presentation. Our table of 4 ordered : Pecan River Trout - this was probably of weakest meal of our table. I'm not a lover of Trout so am a bad judge but the person who ordered it was not wildly excited by it. Blueberry Mountain Steak, Chateau cut - described as excellent, tender and tasty. Nutcrusted pork... More

We meet our dear friends here at least once a month for Sunday brunch. The selection is outstanding, the food is great and wonderful service and you sure can't beat the price. We've also had dinner here. Everything is delicious.

Do NOT eat here! Mediocre food, arrogant mgmt, Our family made a reservation for the Sunday buffet based upon information on the website advertising the Sunday Buffet for $15.99. I checked the website as recently as the Tuesday prior to our visit to see if they had updated the brunch information for Mother's Day. They HAD NOT. We had several... More
