One thing I love about Waycross is that it has some of the best food you could possibly find. Captain Joe's has always been one of my favorite places to eat at back home. The soup and salad bar is the best you will ever come across. The only issue is that the restaurant has aged alot of the years... More

Tasteless and expensive. We all decided to eat here after attending a funeral down the road. We had a large group of people...instead of receiving menus...we were given a paper to check off what we wanted. No prices were listed however but I had some what of an expectation of the prices. After some thought...I decided on the scallops with... More

We stopped here on our way through for lunch. The salad bar was good and the fried shrimp was tasty. The collard greens were excellent and so was the service. Best of all it was only about $10.00 per person. I would recommend this place to anyone who like simple seafood.

Ate here for the first time just yesterday. It was a little before dinner and it was pretty busy. Got a to-go plate. The staff was very friendly, decor wasn't bad. I got a combo plate of grilled fish and fried oysters with a side of fried mac-n-cheese because I hadn't ever eaten any of that. The grilled fish tasted... More

My wife and I eat here about once every other month because it is close to our house and their salad and soup bar is really good. However, if you are in the mood for FRESH seafood, don't order it here. Their shrimp and fish are frozen and you can tell it when they are served to you. We just... More

We were traveling through and stopped in for lunch despite some of the bad reviews. While the prices were a little high, the good and service was pretty good. Shrimp and grits, clams and bite sized shrimp were all good. The salad bar was great. Not too many places out there with good salad bars. This is also one of... More

It is pretty good seafood. Have a buffet salad bar with quite a few items including homemade sweet potato chips, soups, bread. My husband had steak and it was not done as he asked but they did replace it with good attitude. I think the place is not as good as it used to be a few years ago. We... More

Limited menu. Small portions. Bad service and very expensive! Some place I will not go again. A bad fish sandwich and a drink was $15 per person and it wasn't even good!!!

The salad bar was not clean - messy. That is not appealing, It had a decent selection however. The grilled, stuffed flounder did not seem throughly cooked. It was not quite flakey as it should have been. The "stuffed" part was like a huge pile of dressing in between two slightly undercooked pieces of fish, My husbands' fried flounder was... More

The food here is awful, but they do have a great salad bar. The food is greasy and you can tell it's frozen, even though it claims to be fresh. Unless here for the salad bar, gp somewhere else.
