Hosts were so genial and welcoming, and the food was first-class! It is a lovely restaurant - a gem hidden away in a tiny historic town! Gotta try it when you visit!

The Washington Jockey Club was a very nice experience in an area of limited choices (mostly chain fast food, local pharmacy which was actually very good and cafe-lunch only and bar on square area). The food on both nights of our visit was excellent as was the service and Southern hospitality of the owners! This restaurant was one of the... More

My husband and I were in Washington for the first day of the BRAG (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia). There was a flyer (with script writing advertising fine dining, full bar and special event planning) in the handouts we got when we registered. It is located on the historic downtown square and looked like the classiest place in town, so we... More

My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner here in April - the staff as well as the owners were so pleasant and besides their services, were very interested in us as customers and keen to learn our impressions of the community as well as our dinners. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is halfway between where my daughter lives and where we live, so we meet here on various occasions for dinner. This time was for Father's Day and again we were not disappointed! Excellent food and service, and our server Lindsey has the most wonderful southern accent you will ever hear!

I spent 2 nights at the jockey club for dinner and drinks, and it was great. The shrimp and gritz and salmon were cooked perfectly. The bartender and owner felt like old friends, and really made my trip! I hope to be back someday! Thank you :)

Had not been to this resturant in several years-it was always safe bet-I had understood it had "changed hands". We had weekend guest and deciced to go out for diner. Masters week here means avoid Augusta. Decided to try Jockey Club. This turned out to be excellent choice. Great diner menu, service was excellent. We enjoyed their seafood specials of... More

Enjoyed a nice and simple meal. The hubby had a steak and I had a pecan fried chicken breast. The sides consisted of some interesting choices (I had spinach with garlic and baked sweet potato with brown sugared butter). Not prepared the way I would have prepared it but tasty just the same.

You are always welcomed on entering with a friendly greeting. Service is great and the food delicious and they can custom an order if need be.

The pecan crusted chicken was divine. The asparagus spears and grilled spinach were no less perfect. I could taste the rum in the rum glaze of the bread pudding dessert. Many of the tables seen to be antiques and many of the chair are upholstered in equine-related scenes. I rarely notice "ambiance" in restaurants but I did notice it here.... More
