Good restaurant

Dined here on an overnight stay in Valdosta. Standard fare, no issues with food quality which was very bland, there was nothing overly special. But, I would recommend as a stopover location.

We went the night before Valentine's....was really happy friends in our group had made reservations...who knew....very busy! Food was good, service felt rushed, steaks came before salad was finished, so we had dishes piled everywhere....maybe it was just because they were so busy. Husband really liked his steak, mine was good....think maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Everything was seasoned... More

If you want a really good steak Austin's offers the best in town. Their speciality is steak but they do have good seafood dishes I would recommend. The service is very good. The atmosphere is on the western side (not overly) but they have a sports bar in the back if you prefer it.

The filet is awesome and steamed veggies are the best in town. The bar area has big screen tv if your looking to catch your favorite game. Roasted Peanuts are available for appetizer at no cost. Blooming onion is great appetizer and wings are great if you want something a little different.

Best prime rib in vàldosta bar none. We will go back often. Good steaks as well. Very good service atmosphere is very cowboy so I wouldn't consider it elegant. Certainly felt no need to dress up

Not sure if this is the best meal I've ever had but it certainly one of the best steaks! I have eaten here many times, hard to find a better rib eye.

We visit Austin's one to three times a month, in part because we live north and Austins is south and west. We have to want to eat there to go there. My wife had fried shrimp with steamed veggies. For most visits this is why she wants to go there. She comments that a person can count on having a... More

We've eaten here before on our way to Florida. The food is always good and the service is great. Very accommodating as our young daughter was a bit afraid of the bull head on the wall. They moved us to an "animal free" area. Southern hospitality at it's best.

A very good meal. I had the 12 ounce ribeye (which was slightly underdone, but still very good). My wife had a salad with salmon which she enjoyed very much. Staff that we encountered was polite & professional but not overly warm and friendly. Possibly because we were there on a Saturday night and they were busy.

What a great restaurant and not a chain. I rode a filet, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Great food, country style, service is good and prices are no more than a chain like Longhorn or Outback, but food is way better!
