At Steel Magnolias in Valdosta, GA our food base is urban Southern, taking the roots of classic Southern cuisine and showing a new way of looking at them. We serve our fare with an old familiar smile, where our patrons are surprised by a new approach, yet still know the secret handshake. We prepare the best quality ingredients at the freshest possible point and allow them to speak for themselves. We support local farmers and Artesian producers in an effort to become a supporting element in the community and drive our “eat local, be local” philosophy.

Best food in Valdosta!

The food here is inventive and inspired. Often you will find a fresh take on a Southern favourite to delight your palate and excite your senses. Exactly the sort of thing one goes looking for on a date night! The food, service and atmosphere does not disappoint.

The appearance looks like high quality food served here. I got 10oz center cut filet. Ask for med rare. Still juicy but not bleeding. I got a dried out steak. Wife got duck it had no taste. Sausage tasted like kilbalsa. So not going back.

This is our favorite hang out spot. The drinks are amazing, the staff is fantastic and welcoming and the atmosphere is great. The rooftop bar is the best. We come often on weekdays and weekends just for drinks and apps. For dinner, my top 2 fav are the shrimp and grits and the ahi tuna. The bacon wrapped pork is... More

Enjoyed a very nice dinner here with family over the holidays. Son in law and i both ordered off the "butchers choice " part of the menu and were rewarded with a wonderful filet for me and a great cowboy ribeye for him. Daughter had a pasta dish she enjoyed. Shared two apitizers, artichoes were ok, brushetta was excellent! We... More

The devil egg appetizer is awesome. Service and food is exceptional for the downtown area. The dessert is always the bomb! You will love it and take time to go up and enjoy the roof top bar area.

We were 6 for lunch this past weekend and were not disappointed. From the divine tomato soup, deviled eggs to the entrees (wonderful shrimp and grits and sandwiches) as well as the knock out of the ballpark desserts - a home run. A bit pricy for Valdosta but coming from Florida (the land of crazy high prices at the parks)... More

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! I recently visited this restaurant while on business. It is located in a 3 story building. All levels are used by the restaurant - including an open air roof top bar/dining area. It was warm enough for us to enjoy a few cocktails (wonderful!) and eat on the roof top. I wanted to try... This is a store front restaurant in downtown (easy parking). The Spartan décor with great art adds to the charm of the place. Being from Chicago, the Blues music was great, but not overpowering. Being in the south, we opted to share the fried green tomatoes. The dish was great with crumbled Feta. Not a bad touch! I opted for... More

We found this place through trip advisor and it was just great. Having left the chilly north it was a treat to sit on the rooftop under the heaters. My husband had the mussels and thought the cast iron broth was wonderful. I had the shrimp and grits also fabulous. The waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient, and very fun.... More

Great find. Zane gave great recommendations from drinks to dessert. Started with a Macon mule and driving miss daisy drinks. Then the mussels in an anisette cream sauce you drink up it was so good. Kale bacon and pear salad was perfect. I had the shrimp on perfect grits. My husband melt in your mouth short ribs. Banana cream brûlée... More
