At Steel Magnolias in Valdosta, GA our food base is urban Southern, taking the roots of classic Southern cuisine and showing a new way of looking at them. We serve our fare with an old familiar smile, where our patrons are surprised by a new approach, yet still know the secret handshake. We prepare the best quality ingredients at the freshest possible point and allow them to speak for themselves. We support local farmers and Artesian producers in an effort to become a supporting element in the community and drive our “eat local, be local” philosophy.

My favorite place in Valdosta!

My husband and I love this place. Every meal we have tried for lunch and dinner is super delicious. I totally recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The roof is really nice. This place has a great atmosphere.

We had a wonderful meal on their rooftop dining area. Seared scallops and pork belly was very good. Kale salad was excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. Nice wine list. Definitely worth a visit and matches 'big city' quality/setting. Worth the extra time and $s vs the quick service restaurants on 75.

Was seated at the bar very quickly during a busy lunch hour. I observed other larger parties being turned away as the place was already packed at noon. The restaurant was crazy cute with fun little details.... Napkin tied with twine, bill delivered in small mason jars, etc. I wasn't crazy about my lunch wrap as it barely had any... More

Great food and service. I appreciate that a standard dishes have a unique southern twist. The wait staff was helpful in making selections.

I'm a college student and my friends and I decided to stop in downtown Valdosta for lunch on our way back from Florida. We were walking down the street and decided to stop at Steel Magnolias when the mailman was outside the door and highly recommended it. We were all wearing gym clothes and as soon as we opened the... My husband & I came based on reviews we had read and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED. We decided to eat on the roof top (hey how often is that an option) it was worth the three flights of stairs to get there. We had talked before arriving about going with appetizers and maybe dessert. We started with the Fried Green... More

Service lacking but food was so delicious. Rooftop was nice and hardly full. Started with fried green tomatoes. A great choice ! My sister had the famous shrimp and grits. I took the braised pork belly with pimento mac n cheese. Very good ! I would say a bit overpriced because of serving size. Not as big as $22 would... More

We were heading south for the winter and stopped for the night in Valdosta and came across this hidden gem! It was Valentine's Day so I expected a big crowd, and while the tables were all full, we were able to grab two seats at the bar. The bartender/server was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed two wonderful cocktails... More

Do yourself a favor. Eat lunch here! Charming design with shabby chic furnishings reminiscent of the Deep South. In addition to that, the food is AMAZING. friendly staff, fast service and amazing taste. So glad we happened upon this place.

My fiance took me here for a sweet valentine's dinner. I was impressed. We had reservations abs pretty much walked straight in. Our server was wonderful. I had no complaints. My fiance thought the music was a little loud. But the food and service was incredible.
