Yum!

The food was really good. We ordered a few sides and weren't disappointed. The pork was awesome as was the pear salad. The okra was probably my favorite. The bread and chicken fingers were a little over salted. The staff were friendly. Our server was very quiet and not very engaged but he did fine.

From the bread and deviled eggs to the scallops and shrimp and grits to the kids plates to the Pb pie and coconut cake, this was the best meal I've had in a long time. Perfectly southern and perfect delicious.

My wife and I were traveling and ended up in Valdosta as a stopping place. We searched Trip Advisor and Yelp for a good restaurant. We found Steel Magnolia. Are we glad we did! We opted for the roof-top dining "room". It was warm but a nice breeze made it comfortable. The server offered samples of their limited selection of... More

I spent over $30 for a burnt salad. They have cool plates but overpriced food. They try to make the food fancy and it turns out disgusting.

Driving up I75 we decided to get off the interstate franchise choices and ride a little way in to the actual town of Valdosta . To our pleasant surprise we hit a home run! Steel magnolias is on a quaint downtown street and was a fabulous restaurant. The food was prepared in an open kitchen and the service was excellent... More

We were in Valdosta overnight and found Steel Magnolias on Trip Advisor. i had a fish special which was beautifully presented and had lots of nice flavor. would have been better on a bigger plate, since it was a bit hard to eat as presented. My husband had shrimp and grits which he loved. Service was excellent southern hospitality.

Steel Magnolias is where you should go for a really great meal, and laid -back atmosphere. It is not your hoity-toity eatery, not a place where your cutlery is bigger than the entrée. It is trendy without being presumptuous. The food is fabulous! There is always a special entrée/appetizer/dessert, plus a menu that simply rocks! Some of my faves are... More

We went here for dinner. The tuna was amazing! The sautéd spinach and grits were to die for! By far the best dinner I've had in Valdosta in 6 years!

My husband and I and our 9 and 11 year olds stopped on a 1 night stay here mid-road trip. It offers a lovely setting and friendly, professional service. It is worth the walk up 3 heavy wooden (beautiful) flights of stairs to see the terrace bar and dining. The food was delicious southern comfort food. I ordered the scallops... More
