slow service but excellent food and caring wait staff. Easy parking on street or in a small lot. Always filled with locals but no wait for a table.

Had dinner here with friends, nice atmosphere, great appetizers, both the Herbed Gourney Cheese and the Baked Vidalia Onion Dip were delicious. Service was slow even though the restaurant wasn't that busy but we didn't mind. The Tomato Onion salad is just that, sliced tomatoes and onions with blue cheese crumbled on top, it was not what I was expecting... More

We visited The Bistro on 7/3/14, and I really enjoyed it this time. We had a party of 3, and sat in the bar area rather than the main dining area. Our server visited the table immediately, and kept our drinks full, including bar service. My crab stuffed grouper dish was excellent, I would certainly return if this last visit... More

It was very good food but I think our waiter was new. He tried but had trouble remembering things, answering things, etc. but was trying. The prices were a little high but not unreasonably so. The "Drunken Angus" steak had good flavor, was cooked properly and enjoyable. Best however was the Vidalia Onion Cheese Dip. It was delicious and I... More

Went to the Bistro for a birthday dinner, 14 in our party. There were only two other tables in the restaurant besides our party. We had to flag down our waitress just to place a drink order, and the service was the same throughout the meal. Once we finally got our food, it was very good. I can't imagine this... More

My husband and I decided to have a date night and went to The Bistro for dinner on a Friday night. When we arrived, it didn't seem that busy. It took quite some time for me to get my glass of wine, took even longer for our server to bring a bread basket (I don't know if they were making... More

Above Expectations in ambiance for a small town like Valdosta. Up scale dining with nice menu and good food. Nice wine list and the bar was impressive with single malt scotch that I don't often find on the shelf in this part of the country.

Chef Sean is to be commended, not only for the immense workload he was under (large party of over 30 people in one sitting), but also for his preparation which was really pretty good. I cannot say excellent because his tomato based sauces were a little too "raw" in their presentation (overwhelmed the rest of the sauce's contents), and the... More

We found this by reading other TripAdvisor reviews while driving from our home in South Florida to Alabama. It was a refreshing respite from our long drive. The head chef ,Sean, and our waitperson, Jason, did their jobs wonderfully We started with the night's special appetizer - a combo of Cajun fried oysters, shrimp scampi and crab puffs. . (Crab... I have ate at this restaurant and I have had some wine at this restaurant. They have a pianist who plays on certain nights which really makes the atmosphere romantic and magical. However the food it pretty but not what I would call fabulous. The plates are VERY Expensive. Be expected to pay about $50 for two people. If money... More
