This place had such good food that we went twice in our 3-night stay on Tybee Island. Each night we had a different seafood dish that absolutely knocked our sox off it was so good. I cannot say anything bad about the food here.

This is a small homey little place with good food at a reasonable price. Service was good and the food was wonderful. The Mahi and boiled shrimp was great and their hush puppies are as good as Pat's of Henderson in Lake Charles which is saying a lot since I'm addicted to those. We ordered crab dip for appetizer and... More

Very good atmosphere, excellent staff...the second time we waked in they were asking if we would like our same table as last time. Excellent fresh fish...best blackened Grouper ever! Then of course the buffalo shrimp as an appetizer is a must...we went back one time just to take a few orders of it to the beach for a little moon... More

I popped into MacElwee's Seafood at 8:30 on a Thursday not sure what time they closed. I have to say I was greeted warmly, seated courtesly and given menu's that were hard to choose from Ultimately I choose the Grouper Oscar, blackened and it with the lump crab, sauteed asparagus and bearnaise sauce made this one of the best dinner's... Seriously, we LOVE this place! The crab legs are a must and a real steal! We first visited in April 2013 on our "Minimoon" figuring we'd go somewhere we could walk to on our first night and try something else later. Well that never happened, we fell in love! The wait staff is very nice and attentive, very laid back... More

The scallops cut into 1/4's and were cooked to rubbery. The baked potato tasted like it was leftover from two days ago. They seem to have ample seating but for some reason tried to cram everyone there that evening for dinner in the same area. You felt like you couldn't move or have a conversation. The service was terrible.

Very crowded when we went in. Had to wait a little bit for a table which we had to wait outside in the rain as there wasn't much room inside. Finally got a table. Between the new waitress and the crowd we had slow service. The strawberry daiquiri was so bad I couldn't even drink it all. Food was good... More

We ate there our last night on Tybee and we saved one of the best for last. We both had fried flounder and it was great. My wife is not a seafood lover but she really liked this. The crinkle cut fries that she got were very good and I and a baked potato that was delicious, coated in coarse... More

Took my fiancée to Tybee for the day. Spent the whole day out on the beach. Decided to come here for dinner. We had raw oysters for an appetizer and crab legs for main course. The food was really good. Service was just okay. We waited for someone to come to our table for 10 min. Other than that it... More
