Best Seafood on Tybee

We went to StingRay's a couple times during our most recent visit to Tybee. All of the apps we had (crab balls, grouper fingers, conch fritters) were served hot and were very good. We also had the crab stew and fried shrimp, which were also very good. The owner (Ray) and his wife (Kelly) were both... read more

I'd say if were set on going out to eat in Tybee Stingray's would be okay. Our server was nice enough and the Tiger Sauce Wings were really good but the shrimp was just okay and the cole slaw was not good at all. I guess you could go for beer and wings and be happy.

We had lunch at Sting Rays. We chose to eat inside, which seemed to be a mistake. Tables turned pretty efficiently outside, but patrons in the bar seating area appeared to have long waits. Our waitress was too busy, and also very inefficient; she never did more than one thing on a trip! We rarely saw her. I ate my... More

It was obvious that management has shoved as many tables as possible into a small place and the waitresses are litterally running from table to table and they can barely keep up. Service was by far some of the worse I have every gotten. I couldn't even exprese that in a tip because I was charged a mandatory 18%. No... More

service was not good. After the orders had been taken, it was an hour and a half before we saw the first plate. The food was unseasoned and served cool or warm at best. The atmosphere is what you would expect on a beach strip. I was eating at a table with a trash can no less than two feet... More

We went to StingRay's as a family - 2 kids (ages 5 and 2) and had a great experience. The fried shrimp was excellent. We tried the buffalo shrimp appetizer and loved it. We went before the dinner rush and didn't have to wait to be seated, but it looks like it gets pretty busy later in the evening.

The fish po boy was average--Fish on bread--no tomato, lettuce, or sauce. The steamed shrimp was better than average. Our server was ok, but we had a very bad experience with the waitress at the next table who almost spilled her tray on me. She was extremely rude when a not her of our party attempted to prevent a disaster.... More

The only place I have ever been that served a margarita (complete with salt on the rim) in a Styrofoam cup! When we were overcharged for our drinks, the server argued with us. However, the young bartender was quite friendly and charming; too bad she wasn't our server. Menu is heavy on fried foods and if you don't eat seafood,... More

Seems some of the other reviews expected this to be a 5-star restaurant with an army of servants at your disposal. It simply a nice beach restaurant with a cool outdoor, local bar atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and took care of everything for us and the food was delicious! Get the shrimp it's very fresh and the batter... More
