Super yummy but not quick

Absolutely loved the BBQ here but had to wait about 30 minutes to receive order. Only one waitress was working so she had juggle multiple tables (which she did very well). Not the place to go if you are in a hurry and wanting to grab a quick bite.

Grab a bite and a cold beer after paddling. Generous helping of finely chopped barbecue with coleslaw and fried okra. Casual outdoor atmosphere. Unisex bathroom bit skanky.

This was the worst meal we had during the time we vacationed on Tybee Island and Savannah. There were three of us in our group and mistakes were made on all of the orders. The menu declares that they make their sides fresh daily. The coleslaw was so bland that we all decided it had to have come out of... More

I ckd no to best meal ever in a restaurant; it's not a restaurant. It's a roadside, open-air, island truckless food truck. And, it's outstanding. This was my first stop but not my last. I had a pulled pork sandwich topped with cole slaw and sauced with Gerald's secret hot sauce, a mango/habanero delight; let's call it Gerald's Mango Mumbo... More

We just enjoyed a wonderful (lazy) afternoon at Gerald's! We came in to quickly try the award winning fried shrimp, but the laid back ambience lured us in and we ended staying for about two hours. We tried the fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, duck wings and fresh limeade. Everything was really delicious (we went back for seconds)and this meal was... More

We stopped in for lunch while visiting Tybee. Our server was wonderful. She felt like our food was taking a bit long so she bought our second round of drinks. The food itself was fresh and tasty.

Waiter was nice, food was okay. Had the shrimp and my friend had the shrimp po boy. Prices were also a little high for the food quality.

Praise the lord of the road side joint! Just don't follow Google maps. After you cross the bridge- located about 1.5 miles on 80 east. Gerald says he has been working on this for a while. The place is open air. It is constructed and decorated with reclaimed items so has lots of charm. And cold beer. BBQ and beer... More

Waitress was nice, but the food was not. Shrimp poboy was so-so, and the barbecue was not edible. I have no idea how this place gets such stellar reviews.

Great fried oysters. Spicy sauce is yummy. Great place to eat and relax and enjoy the island atmosphere.
