Come as you are, bring the family...eat, drink and be merry. Gerald’s Pig and Shrimp is a casual outdoor dining establishment, backdropped with towering shade trees and located across the road from Tybee Island’s sprawling salt-water marshes. The brick patio is housed in an open air structure, a 14’ high pole barn fabricated with reclaimed materials, beautifully landscaped and decked out with an array of eclectic eye-candy. We specialize in slow-smoked meats pork, ribs and brisket, as well, fresh, Wild Georgia shrimp, fried, boiled or sauteed. All our sauces and marinades are made in house. We use fresh herbs from our side garden. We offer daily specials, dinners, sandwiches, appetizers and local beer, wine and sangria. We’re pet friendly as long as they’re friendly and on a leash and have free parking on property. We strive to ensure our guests’ experience is top-notch by providing fresh, tasty, high quality fare at a reasonable price, in a relaxed atmosphere with exceptional customer service.Planning an event? Laid back and delicious!

We go to Gerald's at least once every time we are on Tybee. I think it is the best shrimp on the island. The outdoor seating is always pleasant and the service is always friendly. Try the habanero hot sauce. It is great!

I stopped in for a beer. Ended up getting the tomato sandwich. Which sounds so bland but was actually excellent! The owner Gerald was extremely pleasant and the bartender was very friendly. The service was great and so was the food and prices! I definitely recommend Gerald's and I will definitely be returning.

Stopped for lunch at this small roadside joint on our way off Tybee Island. Quirky and delicious. All enjoyed oyster and shrimp po' boys, and some fantastic hush puppies. They also served duck wings that were very tasty. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and for being patio seating, the place was well kept and clean. We were only on... More

food was decent. could have used more wait staff. the waitress was working her butt off and could not get caught up.. maybe it was an unexpected lunch rush. kind of pricey. could use a few more items on the menu. the $42 sampler platter was worth about $24. It was good and enough for 2 but pricey. neat environment.... More

Gerald's is a funky little roadside place that looks like it belongs on the beach. We stopped by as we were leaving Tybee. All of the seating is outrside, but covered. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. I ordered the fried shrimp and jalapeno hushpuppies, which were delicious. The shrimp were cooked and seasoned just right. The jalapeno hushpuppies... We love the atmosphere of this outdoor restaurant. The open-air dining is under a two-story high ceiling and there is plenty of room among the tables. It had a funky, Caribbean feel with its laid back atmosphere but you do not have to wait that long for your food. The sautéed shrimp was cooked perfectly. It was so good that... More

It's on the corner of the street and you can't miss it!! Nice outdoor seating! They stay pretty busy and serve their bar-b-q until they run out, so get there early if you want the brisket. We had the ribs and pulled pork, ribs were very good, the pulled pork was good, but lacked a smoke flavor. It was still... More

Gerald's has great food! Shrimp is light, flaky, and delicious. The smell of the smoked BBQ will definitely pull you in and once you taste it, you're hooked. Wash everything down with their fresh squeezed limeade. We can't visit Tybee without stopping at Gerald's! Happy Repeat Customers

A chill in the air is dispelled by the warmth from the fire pit at the open air BBQ and Seafood Stop on the left across from the wedding chapel on the drive onto the island. Try a shrimp or oyster po-boy or ribs or pulled pork or brisket from the pit. Add fries, baked beans and Cole slaw and... More

Shrimp were really fresh and fried to perfection. My hush puppies were a bit over cooked but the inside tasted good. Limemade was fresh, not too sweet. So was the tea. French fries and pork sandwich were reportedly tasty. We paid $16 for a half rack of ribs. They don't specialize in ribs or they just weren't fresh. Nice quick... More
