Our family went there a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. It was a little after lunch when we got there; a few other groups were there and a couple of fishermen at the bar. One waitress was assigned to everyone and she did a good job. Service was friendly; food came out without a big wait... More

The service was not engaged and the food was extremely over priced for the quality. The shrimp had no taste and the BBQ & Brisket was overwhelmed by the sauce. Definitely a no go.

Best fried shrimp and hush puppies in Tybee/Savannah area. We always stop and have the best meal after the beach. Laid back atmosphere - nothing like mauling a perfectly cooked and fried platter of shrimp and hush puppies with ice cold homemade lemonade/limeade. It takes the sunburn away!! Staff is the warmest and most accommodating ever - you can call... More

Overpriced for portions of food served. Waiter was great but was serving everyone. Very hot outside and only some fans were working.

We had lunch on a very hot day and enjoyed every minute of our stay thanks to the kind service and delicious food. This place is the epitome of laid back. The BBQ was tender, light on smoke, and seasoned with salt and pepper. The sauces, particularly the spicy mango, we're the perfect accompaniments - along with the cold beer.... More

Gerald's is the kind of low-key place you hope to stumble upon. It is on the main strip coming into Tybee. Outdoor only dining (or take-out) under a pavillion. BBQ and fried seafood with full bar. The owner was present and was a pleasure to talk with. The food was an A+. Our family shared a platter that had many... More

My family just ate at Gerald's after enjoying some beach time on Tybee Island. It was the perfect way to end the day! The kids ate off the children's menu, and our son declared the chicken fingers the best he'd ever had (and he's a connoisseur of chicken fingers). My husband and I shared the peel and eat shrimp and... More

It was open air dining. The place did not look terribly attractive as we drove by, but when we stopped it looked neat and interesting. The waiter was friendly and efficient, actually one of the best we encountered on the island. The pork barbeque and beef brisket were both very tasty.
