I have been going to Matthews for years, some of the changes they have made are good but in that changeover there will be certain people who should not have been hired and I wished I knew this woman's name, she is just hateful. today when she was asked where was the fish she pointed to the three in the... Ate dinner there for the first time 12-12-14 the food wasn't that good, no seasoning and blanded mac&cheese was the worst I ever had and for two plates to go was $21 I'll never eat dinner there again, but breakfast is excellent

Excellent food for a reasonable price. It is a local favorite and landmark. Has a good variety to choose from and everything is made from scratch.

I saw this restaurant on my food network on the road app and Guy gave raving reviews so I figured why not. The food was great and inexpensive. Your only option of drinks are lemonade, water, and tea. We always order sweet tea so we didn't mind. We will be visiting again for the infamous chicken and dumplings and Brunswick... More

I recently ate at Matthews cafeteria in Tucker. The flavor of the food is the best, especially the meatloaf. They have lots of vegetables and homemade corn muffins. My favorite dessert is banana pudding.

If you are looking for fancy, keep looking. Real southern food look no further. Sugar in cornbread? Nooo way. The saying look in the parking lot for locals rings true here. Nothing fancy just home cooking that doesn't heat up a kitchen and you escape for less than $7. The dishes are not quite as good as my neighbor Ethene's... More

My wife wanted to go here even though it was out of our way on our trip through Georgia. She loves comfort food, but I wasn't that impressed. The fried chicken was average, the creamed corn was OK, but the cabbage was tasteless. My wife thinks she got overcharged.

My husband and I have been going to Matthews for quite some time, our only issue is the staff change, most are now Hispanic, it is often difficult to communicate, they seem to be talking to one another in Spanish rather than pay attention to the patrons in line, I find this very offensive.

I live in Tucker so eat at Matthew's fairly frequently. It's cafeteria style, so you slide your tray along the line and tell them what you want. Always good portions. The food is always well prepared. The Fried Chicken is fabulous as is their banana pudding. It's been around for half a century, so that's got to mean something's right.

Matthew’s looks like it hasn’t changed in 50 years. There is a sort of cinder block institutional look about the place with very little decoration or warmth. The focus is on the food. The cafeteria line is short with just a few options in each category. The food is good, if not particularly memorable. Prices are very reasonable. It was... More
