Very Good

If you are looking for some good Ramen, you won't be disappointed. For $1.99 more, you can get an extra bowl of noodle.

They open at 5pm. We got there at 5:15 and it was already full of customers. We waited for a bit. When we sat we never got service until we pulled one waitress. I guess we were just forgotten in the rush of people. I understand as being a waitress myself. The food was great; love the goyoza, takoyaki and... More

Umaido, interpreted as "Heaven for Delicacy", is the place to go for a rich, authentic bowl of Japanese ramen. The restaurant is located in a Korean strip mall in Suwanee, 45 minutes north of metro Atlanta. Despite the terrible Atlanta traffic, it is always packed. The restaurant is small but cozy with friendly servers. After I am sat down at... More

I believe this is the only housemade ramen noodles in the area! It is just wonderful. There is a pasta room in front of the restaurant where you can see them making their own noodles. I had the Tonkotsu Ramen and it is superb. Rich broth, crispy pork pieces at the right spicy level. The restaurant is modern full and... More

So, I'm a road warrior and whenever I travel, I always try to find ramen shops. From ALL ramen shops I've been to, and that includes San Francisco and NYC, Umaido has the best taste ever! I also visited Japan a couple of times and it's funny that in Japan, they don't really have spicy ramen like in Umaido. In... More

This place is very authentic, very ethnic, and very tasty!!! I've been here twice now, and I would eat here every week if I didn't live 3 hrs away. :-) I had the honey miso and my hubby had the spicy miso ramen. Get the rich soup add in, only a $1 more, otherwise it's a very light broth, both... More

I typically go for Pho Tai when I am in the mood for noodles but decided to give Umaido a try for lunch. The food is very tasty and seems more substantial than Pho Tai. I tried the extra spicy level 2 and it had the right amount of heat. There didn't seem like a lot of noodles but after... More

The ramen here is really tasty, with the thick, fatty broth that I'm looking for. I'm less enthused by the side dishes. I would say this is a great lunch place if you work in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here for dinner (although I believe Hugh Acheson had it as one his... More

This is one of our favorite local spots. We go at least once or twice a week, so you know we REALLY like it. They have a lot of great choices for Ramen as well as many other meal choices, but we always get the Ramen. The noodles are made in house and everything is always very fresh! It's a... More

Not a real ramen afficiando, but this place rocks. Love the interior design and the food was wonderful. The service is a little lacking. When we entered, it took a minute for the wait staff to acknowledge us and our server kept disappearing, but the food definitely made up for it. It's Japanese comfort food, served by a Korean staff,... More
