Great Diner

Went to The Diner at Sugar Hill on 3/21/15. The food was excellent! And our waitress was wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone. Two of us had steaks. They came out so hot and juicy and melted in your mouth. One of us had Country Fried Steak. It came out with two steaks, mash... read more

Great all around place to eat, Great burgers, killer breakfasts, nice atmosphere for dinner and decadent cakes and pies for desert. Comfort food as well as many other dishes to try. Presented visually appealing on your plate, not slopped on your plate in a hasty manner. Have gone here many times , always pleased with the quality and quantity of... More

We've been here a few times, although not in awhile, and was never disappointed. This time however was not the same. There was no hostess to greet us and after standing there for a few minutes the bar tender finally seated us. We were seated and told that someone would be right with us only to have to wait 10... This restaurant always gives great food. Took two friends and they loved it. I had potabella steak. It was done perfectly and came with brocolli and mashed potatoes. Perfect. Service excellent. It was 12:30 and quite noisy but I hardly noticed it once our food came. The desserts are to die for! Fabulous!!

This place has something for everyone; all will leave feeling full and satisfied afterwards. Large portions, well seasoned, artfully composed, and flavorful. The desserts are to DIE for...reasonable prices, too.

I've been going to the Diner on and off since it opened but had not been back for a while so we tried it again for lunch. I went with the Reuben open faced grill sandwich. The sandwich is noticeably smaller than it used to which is actually a good thing. It used to be gargantuan with way too much... More

I have been a customer since it opened about five years ago. It has changed ownership once. The Diner was excellent during the first two or three years in business. Today, it's a good Diner with excellent service but the food quality is not what it used to be. During our last visit, the pork chops were so salty that... More

Originally being from Long Island - New York - My experience with Diners in extensive. This is my second Diner experience in Atlanta. I don't consider Sugar Hill to be an Authentic Diner.... it's more of a Restaurant. We entered and had a good feeling - there were the huge glass showcases filled with Huge Cakes and Pastries - However... More

Hard to find a place with no redeeming qualities, but this is one. First impression is poor, building is showing age, the tables are scarred and scratched, booths ripped, paint in the restroom failing. Ordered what should be Greek specialties, roasted lemon chicken, and a gyro platter. The chicken appeared to have been stored in grease, and was served with... More
