Years ago, this place was a Shoney's, then it was a Folks, (maybe something else in between) but now it is the best place it has ever been, the Diner at Sugar Hill. Nicely decorated inside with stacked stone everywhere makes it an above average diner. We were here most recently for breakfast with a group, and it was just... More

The food was great and so was the atmosphere. Traveling to the mountains for the weekend in search of a non-chain lunch break we found The Diner at Sugar Hill. The sandwiches and sides were great the sweet tea was southern sweet! The server was very, very friendly when at the table and a nice guy but could have been... More

My family and I had lunch here around 1:30 on Sunday. We had to wait about 15 minutes or so for a table (which I don't have a problem with however there were empty tables everywhere). The hostess finally seated us in a back room and we had to crawl over people to get back there because there were 2... More

A large group of us went to this eatery after a family funeral. I ordered the $13.95 meatloaf dinner with a side of mashed potatoes with red skins and steamed, mixed veggies. My husband ordered the $13.95 open faced roast beef sandwich with gravy and the same veggies I had. One of my cousins ordered a Ceasar's Salad. A lady... More

The food is good and the service is decent. The menu is varied and extensive, so you can always find something. I prefer to go there for lunch as it is always busy and fun to watch people and catch up with friends. A nice place to go for breakfast or lunch in Buford.

I love to eat here. The owner always is there and checks on things to make sure your experience was good. The desserts are amazing. Make sure to try the french toast!

We stopped in for lunch at the suggestion of a local business owner, and we were seated immediately. I looked at the menu and thought about the hot open turkey plate, but at the last minute I decided on the French Toast with Sausage Link. I'm so glad I changed my mind because the French Toast was absolutely delicious, and... More

Waitress brought wrong order, passed by the table but couldn't care less if everything was okay. Husbands $10.00 roast beef sandwich was awful. Waitress was rude. We used to eat here often but the past 3 visits have been bad experiences. It seems like something has changed with owner or management; it used to be a good place to eat,... More
