Great Diner

Went to The Diner at Sugar Hill on 3/21/15. The food was excellent! And our waitress was wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone. Two of us had steaks. They came out so hot and juicy and melted in your mouth. One of us had Country Fried Steak. It came out with two steaks, mash... read more

I have been a customer since it opened about five years ago. It has changed ownership once. The Diner was excellent during the first two or three years in business. Today, it's a good Diner with excellent service but the food quality is not what it used to be. During our last visit, the pork chops were so salty that... More

Originally being from Long Island - New York - My experience with Diners in extensive. This is my second Diner experience in Atlanta. I don't consider Sugar Hill to be an Authentic Diner.... it's more of a Restaurant. We entered and had a good feeling - there were the huge glass showcases filled with Huge Cakes and Pastries - However... More

Hard to find a place with no redeeming qualities, but this is one. First impression is poor, building is showing age, the tables are scarred and scratched, booths ripped, paint in the restroom failing. Ordered what should be Greek specialties, roasted lemon chicken, and a gyro platter. The chicken appeared to have been stored in grease, and was served with... More

This used to be one of our favorite places in the Buford area..but we have noticed on the last two visits the portions of the plates and the quality of the food is not what it once was. In addition, the restaurant looks very "worn" and is in desperate need of a face lift. If they want to be a... More

My wife and ate breakfast at the Diner while our car was being service. My wife asked for her eggs to be fried with the yoke done but not brown around the edges. My two eggs were brown all over, sent the back. Eggs three and four were not cooked enough. Eggs five and six were brown again. She finally... More

The Diner quickly became our go-to restaurant in Sugar Hill. Wide selection of food choices and great service. Paninis are just amazing. Surf and turf very good. Weekend breakfast/menu selections wonderful. Daily specials.

Great knowledgeable staff, consistently good food and good choices and great drinks and wine selections. The case of desserts you have to walk past to enter is worth the price you pay, but share a piece if you care about your waist line and wallet. Older atmosphere, like a supper club, but there are so few independent restaurants out there,... More
