We visited the park in early November. The hotel was not crowded, nor was the park. We could walk around without the heat or crowds. The village was decorated for the Holiday light spectacular, but because we were one day early, we could walk around and admire the village without one other living soul there. It was fabulous. The gondola... More

This is an interesting stop. The skyline ride is well worth the money. It takes you up the mountain where you can see for miles. It is difficult to see the actual sculpture on the ride but it is worth doing. Once done with the skyline go over to the museum. No need to pay to enter. From the entry,... More

Its a great landmark - easy ride to a nice view with multiple family friendly attractions at the base. A hidden gem.

I do a lot of hiking, but this place is unique in that the hiking trail to the top is all rock -- and smooth rock at that. I've also never hiked where every single person you encounter says hello and offers to help or hear your story (and tell you theirs if you ask). We were trying to outrun... More

So many areas to explore! Loved the Carillion and the old Grist Mill. Went around the backside and to the covered bridge. It was nice to see so many people walking/hiking/biking and just getting out and keeping fit. Way more to see than just the mountain/carving area! We toured the plantation and the museum and really enjoyed everything. Disappointed that... More

I grew up in this area, and it's great to see how this park has been kept up with and evolved. There are many activities to do here-attractions, history, camping, many dining choices, hotels and resorts, you can even walk or take the cable car up to the top of the mountain and see for miles. There's a great view... More

We were visiting for a week and decided to go check it out. Make sure that you have the proper shoes if you are planning to walk the trail. This is not a super easy trail but you need to make sure you take water and have the right shoes. It was a great hike even though the breeze was... More

great place for locals to walk, jog, hike and nature-watch. we see deer most everytime we go, and have even enjoyed the 'waterfalls' that come down the sides of the mountain after a nice rain. lucky to have this jewel in our back yard.

The peace I feel while I'm there is like no other. When I'm at the top, and away from other people, I feel closer to God. Also, if you get a chance to attend Easter Sunrise service at the top, I would highly recommend it

Beautiful view from top of mountain. Always loved the train ride. Played min golf and watched family do the obstacle course and rock climbing. Laser show a great way to end day. The plantation was interesting to see. The second day we were only there until early afternoon and the parts of the park we didn't see we're closed due... More
