My family and I went for Sunday brunch and we were underwhelmed. First, the food was warm at best. The sweet potato biscuits did not taste like they had any sweet potatoes in them, the food tasted average, omelets were not seasoned, the server, although friendly, was slow as molasses, another server was cleaning the tables with a filthy towel,... My wife and I wanted to go out to dinner for our 20th anniversary, but wanted to go somewhere other than our usual haunts, so I got online and searched for restaurants in nearby Stone Mountain. The Sweet Potato Cafe sounded intriguing, so we decided to give it a go in spite of the wide disparity in reviews here and... More

Hard to find. Food was good, but not exceptional. Menu needs more items. Sweet potato loaded was good, but nothing special. Out of 1 item I wanted to order. Will probably give it another try if I am in the area. Service was slow and we were the only ones there. Atmosphere was so so.

My husband and I always like to find out of the way places to eat when we travel. We found a gem in the Stone Mountain village. The atmosphere was charming, the service was very friendly and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this cafe. If we are ever in this area again, we will certainly stop in... More

I had a groupon as an incentive to try, despite reviews I decided I would give them a try. My husband and I went for dinner before going to a 9:00 show in Atlanta. We arrived a little after 6. Cute place-house converted to a restaurant. We sat at the ironing board (literally) table. We ordered drinks (beer and wine)... More

We found a coupon for Sweet Potato Café in the Entertainment coupon book and decided to try it since we live nearby. Delicious fresh food (the menu is flexible depending on what is available from their local suppliers). The service was friendly and helpful, and we plan to make a return visit. The restaurant hasn't been discovered by the masses... More

I've been to Sweet Potato for lunch and dinner - with family and friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy. The food is good quality, vegetarian friendly, inexpensive and excellent tasting. This may become one of my staples.

Went here with a group of ladies. We had preordered so thought it would be easy. I was so wrong!!! After waiting for 45 minutes, I finally got something to eat but it was not what I had ordered. It was some kind of salad with a little cheese and some nuts - no meat or anything fancy. I had... More

We at Sunday brunch at Sweet Potato Cafe in Stone Mountain, Ga. It was delicious. Sweet potato soufflé to die for, creamed collard greens, grits, cooked to order omelets, turkey sausage...everything was yum. The staff is so personable and the environment homely in a good way. Feels like eating with family at grandma's house without the drama.

Went for brunch with my wife. Totally dissapointing. For $16.95 per person it was totally lacking . The food was poorly prepared and lacked any appeal. Selections for all you can eat brunch was very limited and service was severely inadequate. Seemed like they weren't up to the challenge . We won't be back .
