Overall a good mexican restuarant

I have eaten at El Sombrero numerous time over the past year and the experience has always been good. The food is good and the wait staff is friendly and take good care of you. The only issue I have with the restaurant is the noise in it. It can get very loud in the evening.

The food is tasty but the quality of the ingredients is questionable at times. This restaurant is locally owed and has three locations. I prefer the Fair Road location as it is mostly college students and professionals for happy hour. The other two locations are mostly kids and families and are VERY noisy.

The waitress told us we were liars and cussed us out after she dropped two fish bowl margaritas on someone at our table. She was extremely unprofessional and it was an awful experience. The manager didn't care and made us go up to the front to talk to us when we asked to speak to him. Never going back.

Oddly, we found that orders here were prepared differently than at the El Somb off main. Our enchiladas verdes came without a side of lettuce or a sauce. However, happy to report that they were still delish. Also the service was fast and friendly despite a long line of people waiting.

El Sombrero in Statesboro has 3 locations to choose from and each one of them is excellent. Their food is well prepared, tastes the same each time at each location. The wait staff is great and we have never had a bad meal at anytime at any location. Very popular place with the University students, so sometimes it is crowded... More

The food is great and so is the service. There are three locations in town so if one of them is full you can choose another one.

I have been here several times. I brought some out of town friends here, and the food did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. But it was busy! Plus, we had good friends there to entertain us! The prices are reasonable, and food was lovely.

We went to the restaurant on a Friday night at about 7PM - prime time eating. Our group of 6 was seated within 5 minutes of arriving, even though the parking lot was FULL. We got our chip/dip very quickly and I was optimistic the rest of the meal would go as well. However, it slowed dramatically. We are not... More

Service was fast for lunch; lunch entree was pretty good. The salsa wasn't that good, but again, the food came quickly enough to overlook.
