We went to the restaurant on a Friday night at about 7PM - prime time eating. Our group of 6 was seated within 5 minutes of arriving, even though the parking lot was FULL. We got our chip/dip very quickly and I was optimistic the rest of the meal would go as well. However, it slowed dramatically. We are not... More

Service was fast for lunch; lunch entree was pretty good. The salsa wasn't that good, but again, the food came quickly enough to overlook.

Didn't stay and eat after spotting the cockroach crawling on the floor in the dining area. Bathroom had recently been sprayed for roaches by the smell. Manager didn't seem to care as they just swept it up and gave us our check for drinks and cheese dip we didn't drink or eat.

Smelled a little funny when we walked in but after reading reviews and looking over the menu, we stayed. Ordered and I went to restroom to wash my hands, only to realize there was roach spray around the entire perimeter of the ladies' restroom. Returned to my seat and saw a half-dead roach on the dining room floor, under the... More

Great place to go for Mexican food and huge margaritas. Not so good if you want to hear your tablemates.

By far the best in Statesboro, better food and Margaritas than the other 2 El Sombreros in town. Food, service, and drinks wonderful

This, to my mind, is the best of the three locations for El Sombrero in Statesboro. It is small, always crowded, and awash with the smell of Mexican grilling. Great Margarita's, bone-chillingly cold beer, real southern sweet tea and generous portions of delicious and very reasonable Mexican food. The service is always good but expect to wait to get a... The Hat, as locals and students alike call El Sombrero, is a favorite for all! You'll find a wait on any game day, especially if you are with a large group, but it's oh so good! Try the chilaquiles, they're a favorite! Service is decent, drinks are good, prices are reasonable...What more can you ask for?

Despite a busy lunch crowd, we were in and out in well under 30 minutes. It's cheap Mexican food, don't get your hopes up - but its good and fast.

We went for cheap Mexican food and margaritas, but the waiter would not serve my husband alcohol because his ID was worn (not expired). Bummer!
