My husband and I have dined at Chops several times before and it was good. But on Thursday night 7/3 (our anniversary), was another story. The restaurant did not seem to be busy (5:45pm), but did have a wedding rehearsal dinner going on. We order drinks, which took 15 minutes to come, and then ordered entrees. They arrived about 30... My husband, daughter and I dined here on Tuesday night to celebrate her birthday. The three of us were seated promptly but at an odd shaped table which could have easily held six when there were many empty booths which would have been more conducive to conversation for the three of us. We ordered an appetizer of homemade chips and... More

this was a very nice restaurant and the prices were reasonable for a nice restaurant. Love the inside decor and the roominess and how spread out the tables are. I had the Sea bass that was fabulous Rest of party had steak and they both enjoyed them Desserts were just so so The wait staff was good. We did have... More

Service and staff was excellent. All the food we had was very good. The owner was working her tail off trying to clean tables, supervise and help out as it was a very busy night. I can not think of one bad thing to say. It is a little expensive for Statesboro but the food was tasty. I would return... More

The hostess couldn't seat us because she was "out of menus". How does this happen? They were clearly not very busy. We sat, waited and watched 3 parties be seated (with reservations). When we finally were seated, our waitress stopped by to ask if we had been seated long. Shouldn't she know who is in her section and for how... More

The service was solid not spectacular. How the sell such great food so cheap is serious puzzle. I highly reccomend... More

Chops is like Jekyll and Hyde. At times it is excellent and at others it is pretty bad. We have eaten there 15-20 times and keep trying. we ate lunch this past Saturday and it wasn't very good. The shrimp and grits seemed as though they just came out of the microwave. My son had a cheese steak sandwich which... More

I had heard alot about this place and tried it out a few times. Both times the service was horible! The food is decent but overpriced. I have found other resturants in the Historic Downtown that I like better. It all so seems to be a little of a status place as a majority of the patrons seem to know... More

I appreciate the thought and care that each employee takes to make sure that my visit is the best visit every time at Chops on Main. I've been offered many suggestions when I have shown interest in straying from my "regular" menu items. I've also been pleased with how my order can be altered depending on my peculiar tastes.
