Louis Grizzard was a funny man and his influence is strongly felt here. There is a dining room where many of his columns are on display. Somewhere he wrote about northern restaurants, 'they cook their greens, but they don't cook their green beans." Well, here they cook them elegantly and properly with lots of bacon FAT. Yes!!! Just good old... More

I've ate here several times over the years on my way to Atlanta. You don't want to miss this hidden Gem of a place to eat if your anywhere close. My first time there really took me back with the Southern Bella's all dressed up out front passing out lemon aid while we waited to get in. The food is... More

Southern cuisine in a historic Southern home. You will not leave hungry and the buffets have something for everyone. If you are passing near Social Circle, try it out.

Blue Willow Inn is a unique restaurant. It is a buffet arranged in an old southern mansion. The food is delicious, the ambiance lovely. The grounds are beautiful with lots of photo opportunities.

Stopped here for lunch on our way from Madison to Athens. Very busy place but they do take reservations. We only had a short wait that we spent in the adjoining shop and walking the grounds. It was well worth the wait. The food is served buffet style with tons of "country" vegetables, fried chicken, etc. Sweet tea, lemonade, and... More

While Social Circle is a bit off the beaten path, my wife and I try to get to the Blue Willow Inn at least a couple of times per year. She first introduced me to this little southern jewel a couple of years ago. Set in an old southern mansion, the restaurant is beautiful and charming. The staff are friendly... More

Have been here several times before to get my "southern comfort food" fix before returning to Wisconsin. The perennial hostess - Carol Burnett (not the same as the actress) - nimbly seated us in the midst of 2 large tour groups. The kitchen staff was hopping to keep the food fresh and plentiful. As a result, the line moved efficiently.... More

We went last week for the Friday Seafood & PRIME RIB $24 not including drink. They no longer dothe crab legs, fried shrimp good but batter falling off. Fried green tomatoes soggy , too close to steam. Too many of the sides just didn't look appealing. Prime Rib very good, Fried Chicken, Catfish look tasty enough. We were disappointed because... More

If you love Southern food, then Blue Willow Inn is a must for you! Everything from the cornbread dressing to the fried green tomatoes and chicken n dumpling soup is out of this world! And if you can do it, make sure to also try their seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday evening. Delicious! A fantastic meal in a beautiful... More
