AWESOME AS ALWAYS

This place never lets you down on food or service. Atmosphere is great. Very family oriented. Food is always fresh and they treat you like family. I wish I could come more often.

I have had the cookbook for this restaurant for years. While traveling home from Alabama, we passed through the area and I'm glad we did! This place is wonderful!! The house and surrounding grounds are beautiful. The food is true southern, just my style. It was so good, especially the fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, and you definitely need to... More

On our way home from a long vacation we stopped by for lunch on the recommendations of friends. We got there a little late for lunch. The lady staff member met us at the door and was completely rude. All she had to say WAS we're closed you'll have to come back. We could see that the food was still... More

This is a buffet style in an antebellum house in this little southern town. The food has quite a well-deserved reputation. You are seated at a table, served your iced tea and given a blue willow patterned plate to hit the buffet (and another if you want to go back for seconds). The food was very good, especially the fried... More

We ate here on our way home (Birmingham) from Charleston, SC. A friend recommended it. Honey, I have searched high and low for a good home-cooked meal. This is it, food just like Mother used to cook! You need to check the times they are open because they close after lunch and open back up for dinner during the week... More

Ok, I'm a true Southerner who was raised on southern cooking. My scale for southern cooking is my mother and grandmother who learned the 'old fashioned' way and perfected it throughout their lives. So, when I dine at one of these 'Southern Cooking' places I judge them on that scale. Probably not fair but it is what it is. The... More

I live in Augusta, GA and anytime my travels take me up toward Atlanta, I always have to stop here on the way there or back. Last night we made a special trip for the All You Can Eat Crab Legs night and we were not disappointed. My boyfriend was not completely impressed a few weeks ago when we stopped... More

The buffet lunch price was very reasonable for all the food and desserts that you could eat. We were there just before the lunch serving time was over but we were not served leftovers. They continued to replenish the buffet line with fresh hot food. Everything was delicious!! The best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. We will definitely return... More

17 of us went to the Blue Willow last weekend and every person raved about the food. It was remarkably good food, much better than one would expect from the buffet. Outside of the peach cobbler the deserts were pretty forgettable but the fried green tomatoes and candied yams made up for it. No alcohol service but the sweet tea... More

Been wanting to go there for yrs and finally made it. Very disapointed! Beautiful house and grounds but food was at best mediocre. When I tried to order a coke to drink I was told that they only have "traditional" southern drinks. Tea, coffee, lemonade. Although the lemonade was acctually the best I have ever had, how can Coke not... More
