Had to see for myself

I heard so much about this place over the years but missed out in a couple of family visits due to work and one time had the flu. So on last week I invited my mom to go, she had been before and told me it was good . It was a large crowd there when we arrived but we... read more

There are buffets all over the South which specialize in regional country cooking. None are in such an elegant atmosphere as this nearly 100 year old mansion located in the one traffic signal town of Social Circle. Whoever came up with the phrase "groaning board" must have been thinking of the Blue Willow Inn Restaurant. Options are plentiful such as... More

The food is excellent Southern home cooking--just like going to Grandma's house. That is why I drive 1 hour to eat there every Thanksgiving and Christmas for dinner. The atmosphere is wonderful (especially during the holidays) and the staff and Mrs. Billie are very welcoming and friendly. It's a must do--go! You'll be glad you did!

Over the last 10 years my family have gone to the Blue Willow every six months for special occasions. We went for a Thanksgiving family gathering this last Sunday and was treated to another excellent meal. Excellent vegetables, meat, bread, soup, etc. I saw the salad bar, but honestly who could have room for that too? The fried chicken was... More

Each December we go here to celebrate the birthdays of 2 dear friends. This restaurant is one you have to go to if you've never been. It's a dining experience. It's a buffet of southern cooked foods located in a southern antebellum style home. One price includes the buffet, salads, soups, breads, deserts and drink (tea or coffee). Great setting... More

What a great meal and atmosphere! Truly like stepping back in time...the restaurant is located inside a turn of the century mansion. Just beautiful! And oh the food, the food. They have an all-you-can eat (and eat, and eat...) buffet that will make you want to slap your mamma! Perfectly fried chicken and fish, wonderful sides - mac and cheese,... More

Having enjoyed some delicious meals in the comfortable ambiance of the Blue Willow Inn, my friend and I decided to make the trek to Social Circle for their prime rib and seafood night. Although I have found the quality declining for some time, I was ill-prepared for the mediocre and greatly over-priced dinner we had. Although the prime rib was... More

Chose this restaurant because they advertise a Sunday Brunch. It is difficult to find a good brunch in this area so we decided to try it. This location is all about the ambiance. The Building is beautiful with beautiful chandeliers, wood floors and history. There are gardens outside and benches to relax, rocking chairs on the porch and a gift... More

The atmosphere is good, but I don't understand all of the hype about the food. It is a Southern buffet. Honestly, if you are a gluten, then you might enjoy it. Unfortunately, many Americans think that more is better, but it is not the case. At least, I can say...been there done it.

A little off the beaten path - a couple of miles off I-20, perhaps 40 minutes east of Atlanta - this place offers a wonderful Southern buffet of great food. Entrees include fried chicken (of course), baked fish, roast beef and grilled fish, as well as numerous vegetable choices, breads and desserts. Although no one dish was "out of this... More
