Tasted like grandma's cooking

We did not want to drive one hour for southern cooking, but a friend's mom was celebrating her birthday and chose this restaurant so we went. The food was fantastic and tasty. The mac-n-cheese was absolute wonderful, so was the cornbread dressing. All of the food was very good. The reason I did... read more

We went for my birthday and this has to be the most beautiful setting in a southern mansion not to mention the BEST southern food I have ever had. All chef prepared and the desserts were to die for....The lemon meringue pie, oh my, never have I had one like that...UNBELIEVABLE!!! The staff was pleasant and helpful. Everyone was so... More

I had never dated at the Blue Willow, and when my friend and I saw that Social Circle was only 11 miles.....we knew we HAD to go! The Blue Willow serves truly southern food. The waitress told us the story of the Inn. Margaret Mitchell's first husband was the son of the first owner of this home. The fried chicken... More

I grew up in Georgia and have never had buttermilk pie. It was a wonderful, light summer dessert! A special thank you to the gracious hostesses!

my husband took me to eat lunch there because I had heard so much about that place from listening to the ludlow porch show on the radio and we live about 2 hours from social circle so I was very upset at the way we were treated and we will never go back and we will tell everybody how they... More

We made a mistake by not leaving when we saw the low ranking by the local health department. Between the flies swarming around, and meat being covered in thick dark gravy, we found this restaurant as one of the nastiest ever.

Sunday Lunch (before the crowds). Reservations recommended. Parking located at the back, but there is a drop-off area if needed. Grounds well-kept and inviting. Servers were very friendly. Food was AMAZING. Skip the salad bar (nothing extra). But, don't skip anything else!!! Drinks come with the meal....tea, lemonade, water, or coffee. Ask for coffee with dessert - no extra charge.... I was in Atlanta foo the first time in 35 years. After spending a day sight-seeing in Madison, we stopped for an early dinner at Blue Willow Inn. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The building is charming and has a pretty garden. We arrived right at the start of dinner service and were seated right away. The server was very pleasant.... More

This trip to the Blue Willow was much different than my last which was years ago. Today, I visited with a group of about 26 people. Entering the location, we were all immediately seated. Hats off to the gentleman at the entry area who really was professional and personable. We got to our tables and all went well, the waitress... More

As a local, I must say that this is one of my prime "go-to" spots. The is fancy, but the food is southern cooking as it used to be. Buffett-style, all you can eat, with staff to serve Iced tea and coffee. There are normally 3 or 4 entrees and 6 or 7 desserts. The signature dishes are the fried... More
