Ribs are what they do best BUT...

I have tried a number of bbq restaurants in Atlanta and it has been the same experience at just about every establishment. That is, great bbq but lousy sides. Other than the beans, which were fantastic, the same applies for this restaurant. The cole slaw had too much vinegar and the mac-n-cheese... read more

I tried the 2 meat combo tray with macaroni & cheese, baked beans, chopped pork, and beef brisket. The baked beans was the highlight of the meal. Some of the chopped pork was Ok, but it had too much fat and other parts I didn't want to eat in it, the beef brisket was dry. Atmosphere, just a hole in... More

The meats all are very good. I am very fond of the rib tips. Let's get to the sides which are just as good as the meat. I love the collards and tater salad. I love the slaw and the beans. Oh did I mention the Mac and cheese or the Brunswick stew? It's all great and the folks there... More

I've always been a big fan of Thompson brothers, so i took some family there on Saturday when they came into town. Thompson Brothers didn't let me down, as they impressed with their great flavor, which includes a nice smokey touch, to their chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. I highly recommend purchasing some of their sweet BBQ sauce to take... More

My daughter was home in early October for Fall Break from College and wanted Barbeque. Although I had never been the Thompson Brothers, I found some good reviews online about it. And, they were all correct. The restaurant is located in a shopping center and is small; however, the food was great, the prices were good, and the service was... More

First time eating their BBQ, it was a catered event which sometimes the meat can be a little on the dry side. Not the case with their BBQ, pork was very well flavored, chicken was moist and tender with great smoked flavor. Baked beans and cole slaw were very good too. Everything was perfect, there were over 50 people and... More

The ribs are smoked to perfection, the Texas toast is good, the baked beans are really sweet too! You have to try the homemade lemon pound cake, it's too delicious!!! The customer service is the best around, they go above & beyond with 110%!!! This is the only place I go for ribs!!!

I live in NY and wanted some southern BBQ on our visit to Atlanta. So my wife found this place near where we were staying. The brisket was awesome, I could have eaten a few pounds of the stuff. I also wish I could get this at home. the collard greens were good but I ate them mostly to absolve... More

We frequent this place, and it is always good, consistent food. I like the chopped beef and greens. The pound cake is supposed to be excellent. Enjoy!

This is the second visit to this small BBQ restaurant off Cobb Parkway in Smyrna Georgia. It was very good the first time, so I thought I would try it again. It was as good as I remember it. Excellent chopped pork sandwich, meat moist and tender and the sauce is very good as well. Also tried the Brunswick Stew... More
