This version of Jim 'N Nick's was just OK, at least during this visit. We have eaten at other Jim 'N Nick's and were very pleased. Not here. Onion Rings were greasy, pulled beef and Pork were just OK. Service was good.
Nicely greeted as we entered the restaurant. She genuinly seemed pleased to see us. Prompting sat down and server greeted us. Restaurant was clean, tidy and well run. Drinks were served promptly. I had the chicken tenders and my wife had the jacket potato with filling. The portions were vast. You wont go hungry going there! Chicken was fresh and... More
We are always with family when someone says "Jim and Nicks". Those are the magic words to get everyone drooling ! We eat at J&N 4-5 times a year and we have even brought home Take Out orders for Christmas' and New Year's eve. Not that we are lazy, we are southern and the food is great. The portions are... More
I had a great dinner here while visiting my daughter. Had some delicious brisket and meaty baby back ribs with some fried green tomatoes that are hard to find home in Upstate NY. My daughter had similar and also liked the Mac and cheese. Washed down with a good local beer (Stillwater). Very good corn muffins served as well. Service... More
I can't tell you how long I've looked for a casual table-service BBQ joint with good food. My past experiences have involved either fantastic fare in a tiny shack with no seating or no plates/forks (literally), or supposed upscale barbecue with tablecloths and sad, dried-out food. Jim and Nick's seems to thread the needle well, with a nice-but-casual atmosphere and... More
Our first visit a year and half ago we had pulled pork which was great. This time we opted for the brisket. Both times the food was great.
Have had Jim N Nick's for catering and the barbecue is decent. The sauces are typical. The corn muffins are delicious. It's not my go-to BBQ joint in Smyrna, but it will do to satisfy a BBQ craving.
We decided to have a spur of the minute business meeting and this restaurant was suggested. I have never eaten at a Jim ' Nicks's and was pleasantly surprised! Every dish ordered was really something special. I personally tried their stuffed BBQ Potato which was HUGE and truly a treat. Yes, I will try this restaurant again.
This was my first visit to JIM N Nicks bbq while visiting Atlanta. Me being a lover of any and all things bbq really enjoyed the food. I tried the bbq mac and cheese for the first time ever and was not disappointed! The peach lemonade, which was a first mind you was quite refreshing. Next time I visit Atlanta,... More
