A few low-carb options

With keen dietary restrictions, dining at BBQ places is tough. But I chose Carolina pulled pork (vinegar and pepper-sauce instead of Barbeque sauce) on a salad. Good choice. I recently utilized their 'community meals' to go, the first was a meal for 18 and the second a meal for 6. Both times to feed my team at work and both times the response of the team were 'excellent'! The smoked turkey with Morgan County White Sauce and the Carolina Style Chopped Pork are outstanding. We also tried the... More

In the last two weeks I have been here for both sit down and drive thru food. It is great although it is a chain it taste like something you would eat at a local BBQ. There sauce is sweet tangy and spicy all in the same bight. I have had both the chicken and the pulled pork both were... More

I hadn't eaten at Jim 'N Nick's in years, but stopped in for lunch the other day and was very disappointed. The dining room is so packed with tables that people were having a very difficult time navigating between them. I was seated in a small room off to the side, and every time someone walked past the table, they... More

We are fairly regular patrons of Jim N Nick's. My favorite is their fried catfish because they batter it the way that catfish should be battered- with cornmeal and not flour. The 2-fillet platter is large enough that I can get two meals out of it. In my cheese bread eating days, I used to looooove their mini-muffins. Other items... More

Dropped in Jim N' Nick's BBQ in Smyrna today for lunch. It's been awhile since I've eaten there. I wanted to order the Baked Potato with Pulled Pork but unfortunately they were out of potatoes! I ordered the small baby back rib platter with collards and mac/cheese and my wife ordered the Friday Lunch special which was a piece of... More

We eat here almost every week. Southern comfort food. Delicious. If you are a calorie or nutrition counter don't over-do it which is easy to do. All of their BBQ plates are prepared fresh daily. Smokers arrive in the wee hours of the mornings to smoke the days meat. When they run out for the day, well, come back tomorrow.... More

I've eaten here several times and always had good food. I often take visitors here and they really enjoy it. Service is usually very good, but occasionally slips. Food is also usually very good, but it, too, occasionally slips. However, on an average day, the pulled pork is great, but the sleeper dish that everyone seems to enjoy is the... More

Mix average BBQ with weak service and you have a disappointing lunch. The food was just average and the service poor. I had a Brunswick stew that was dry and so heavy on the pepper I could hardly eat it. My pork BBQ sandwich was fair. We had to ask for utensils (after the food had been severed) two times... More
