Southern Food at its best

Beautiful restaurant asked receptionist at hair salon for a suggestion near Cobb Center and she was the receptionist at restaurant as well. Made reservation for us. Had fried chicken and mashed. YUM

We had a visitor from the North and brought him here to enjoy genuine Southern cuisine... and he did! The entire party enjoyed their different meals and while the menu is limited, the range of choices is more than adequate - something for everyone, including the tasty appetizers. On the downside, the server was unattentive, forgot drink orders, disappeared and... More

I've eaten here a few times before for dinner, and have never been disappointed (Georgia Mtn trout-delish, lobster mac n cheese is quite decadent for a "non-coastal" restaurant, and I love the Blueberry Sage Lemonade cocktail-refreshing!). Came this time for brunch with the family for Father's Day. I tried the buttermilk fried chicken and waffles and others had the shrimp... More

My family and I recently visited South City Kitchen for dinner. We have a hard time finding interesting places to eat in the suburbs and sometimes we just don't feel like driving into Atlanta. So, we tried South City Kitchen in Vinings. Note: it is not in "real" Vinings, it is more like Vinings Southwest. Anyway, getting there was easy,... More

Food was phenomenal! Fried but not at all heavy!! Loved everything from the fried green tomatoes to the fried chicken with asparagus succotash to the delicious chocolate cake. If I ever return to Atlanta South City Kitchen will be my 1st stop!!

A very busy and somewhat loud environment but the food is with it. We ordered their grilled pork chops as well as their jambalaya...both were fantastic. Our server was very professional and knowledgeable and just a fun person. We brought our own bottle of wine for a special occasion and paid a minimal corkage fee. We will certainly return on... Very attractive, very tasty food. Good old boy food with a touch of fusion. Interesting. Will definitely return.

I love the South City Kitchen in Vinings. Made reservation online through via Open Table. The restaurant in located in the Vinings neighorhood of Smyrna, in a cute destination neighborhood shopping center. Very nice area easy to get to and plenty of parking. We arrived to early to get Mimosas on a Sunday morning, 12:30 is the starting time for... More

This was one of the best meals I've ever had!! We started with the fried green tomatoes (to die for!), scallops, pork belly with kimchi collards, and chicken livers. Both the pork belly, which was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the kimchi collards were fantastic!! My husband got the pork chop. Oh my God! It was so tender and cooked to perfection.... More

You associate South City Kitchen with great southern fare. And I though brunch would be a slam dunk. My husband and I assumed this would be a slam dunk in my quest for the best brunch in Atlanta. I got South City Breakfast. And my "soft scrambled cheddar eggs" we're over cooked and not cheesy. The bacon was thin and... More
