Good service & food

This is a friendly neighborhood pub that is a good place to eat before or after a movie at the theater next door. The service is good and the prices reasonable, and they have a varied menu. Nothing fancy, but a little something for everyone.

After a great experience at their sister Pub, The Bat and Ball Pub, I thought I'd give it a shot as I was in the Perimeter and going to a movie. Beth was so friendly, food was as good, Smoked Salmon, and this pub is small but so cozy. I liked it so much I returned after the movie and... More

I review hotels all the time and never restaurants on TA. Yelp is too untrustworthy to me. Anyway, I have been going to The 'Oak', as we call it, for years. It's the friendliest, unpretentious place in the Perimeter. There are so many overpriced corporate places but none match this gem. The food is a solid A and well priced.... More

I visited The Royal Oak this year for St Patricks Day, I was presented with a St Patricks Menu and told the list of beers, I went with a Harp which came out with a green shamrock on top. After reviewing the menu, I ended up ordering the Irish Nachos, which the waitress recommended. Nothing Irish about them other then... More

A very good Ruben with just excellently sinful fries. Service very attentive too. Good location next to Starbucks. Very home,

Visited this restaurant with a very hungry friend. Entered because of the dim-barlike atmosphere. This was a bad idea. Once we were seated the hostess did begin serving us and tell more about "The Soup of the Moment" and special selections of the day. She then introduced our waitress whose name was Hanna. This young lady had just breezed into... More

The menu has some nice British items on it (try the platter with Scotch Egg, Cornish Pasty and Sausage Roll). Poor selection of beers and wines, but lots of scotch. Interesting "regulars".

We were hungry when we saw the sign...and pleased we walked in. Menus posted outside always help. Small and pub-like, it has a nice long bar, a few booths and tables. The menu has a lot of variety...and a number of "traditional" pub favorites: fish and chips, burgers, shepherd's pie ( with lamb), Reuben's, nachos, etc. The basil chicken sandwich... More

The Royal Oak is a hidden gem in the Perimeter area. It is tucked back near the Starbuck's and Regal Cinema behind the Sandy Springs MARTA Station. It has great food and atmosphere, but remains relatively uncrowded during the lunch hour. It is perfect for small groups as the booths and tables are best suited for less than five people.... More

The service was good, and the setting itself is nice. The food was not bad, as far as pub food goes, but does not compare to some of the better ones like Mac McGee in Decatur. The main thing that disappointed me was the quality of their beer. The beer list, though limited, was ok in itself. But I expect... More
