Never listen to the woman at the souvenir shop that encourages you to come here. She obviously is a liar. The staff is very friendly. The food is horrible. Reminds me of cafeteria food and the waiter bragged about everything being homemade. Red Lobster does it better. Avoid this place. A tourist trap!!!!!

After seeing this place on diners, drive-ins and dives we were excited to give this place a try. I'm pretty easy to please, feed me good food and I'll overlook a lot, but I didn't get good food and didn't get the hype of this place at all. So it's not for me...

We were a little put off by the decor, it's been there a while. Turns out they were visited by diners and dives, the Guy Fierra (sure I spelled that wrong!). Staff was great. Sweetest waitress. Crab cakes awesome, blackened red snapper special was just right, jambalaya was hot and spicy just as expected. The sausage fritter appetizer amazing. What... More

Honestly after reading reviews on tripadvisor and diners drive ins and dives we were all set to go here. I got the low country boil and my husband the grouper in their famous sauce. I won't say the food was terrible but I don't see all the hype. We have been to New Orleans several times and this does not... More

Everything about this restaurant was excellent. The grouper is the best I have ever had, everything is fresh. You can't miss this restaurant if you are in the area.

My husband and I have been coming to St. Simons Island for the last ten years and ALWAYS make it a priority to have at least one meal at the Blackwater Grill. I always get the BBQ Shrimp and the Low Country Boil. I've never been disappointed (and I live in New Orleans). The food is great and the service... More

We went on a whim, and when I return to Saint Simons, this will be my go to place for dinner. We had four in our party and were seated in a blink, right during dinner rush. Our waitress was charming, attentive but not intrusive. I had two appetizers for my meal. The crab bisque is easily the best I... More

Blackwater Grill looks how I would imagine a fishing lodge would. Dark, lots of cheap wood, mismatched chairs, and vinyl table cloths. Not my style. Service was good and the staff was friendly. The food was good and portions were plentiful. I got the Tybee Fried Shrimp. It comes with two kinds of sauces which were amazing! You also get... More
