Fast and good!

The restaurant is warm and inviting. Our server was very efficient and our food arrived very quickly. The filet was cooked perfectly, the seafood casserole was very creamy and full of shrimp and crab. The shrimp and grits came on grit cakes and was fantastic. Everything was great, from the fish tacos to the fresh salad to the blackened grouper with fries and the terrific Hush Puppies. Southern food at its best, accompanied by the warm hospitality of Georgia. Did I mention the Key Lime pie? Take your cholesterol pills but don't miss any of this.

Nobody can argue with success. Crab Trap has been serving fresh seafood on Saint Simons Island for over 40 years. As one might expect, the motif is island nautical. The atmosphere is quite pleasant with upscale 'eat-in-the-ruff' scuppers built in to the tables to capture shells as you crack open your menu selection. We opted to dine at the bar... More

Visited on a recent Friday night after first stopping next door at Crabdaddys where there was a 45+ minute wait for a table. There was no wait at the Crab Trab. No complaints about the meal. Went with fried shrimp and blackened scallops. Was honestly surprised that portions weren't a little more generous, especially as the scallops tended to be... More

The Crab Trap has been a local favorite for 40 years. They have many things but their fried shrimp and batter-dipped fries are amazing. We drive down from Atlanta and can't wait to go there our first and last night on the island. The cole slaw is good and the roasted ear of corn is sweet and juicy. Casual atmosphere.... More

The Crab Trap is one of my favorite places for fresh seafood on St. Simons Island! The family owned business has been run the same way since day one. Built on serving quality food from family recipes with a down home family feel! It's a great place to bring the family or grab a cozy table for two! Very affordable... More

This restaurant has been one of our very favorites for over 25 years. We live about an hour and half from Crab Trap but the drive is well worth it! The food is always excellent....the fried oysters are my favorites. My husband, son and I all love the unusual crab stew. It is not your traditional, creamy style. It has... More

We (7 of us) were seated quickly. Our server took good care of us. We had a great meal at a fair price. The crab soup is yummy; oysters (steamed and raw) were fresh and came quick; and they had several specials. Seems like a pretty solid and reliable stop!

We always eat here multiple times. The she crab soup is the best thing ever. The staff is always wonderful and helpful. No matter what you order, it's always delicious. You never have a bad meal here. No matter how busy it is, the food is always out fast!

Enjoyed one of their specials that night for dinner. Very friendly staff and great service. Food was very good. I also had a Pina Colada and I have to say it was one of the best I have had in a long time. Very fresh.
