I think people go here because the wait is always shorter than Crabdaddy's next door. But it's just so dark and damp, I suggest you wait if you can. On the other hand the snapper and the coleslaw were excellent!

I've eaten at the Crab Trap many times over the years and always go back. I can't really say that I have too many complaints other than this time it seemed like the portions were pretty small for the price. Food was delicious and service was great! I'm sure I will be back again.

The best place in the island for fried seafood and snow crab legs. Family friendly. Great French fries.

It's Okay just not for the price. Atmosphere is awful... One of the worst on the Island. The best part is leaving.

First saw SSI as a young man, spent evenings with favorite relatives. Crab Trap was always a fun casual meal on the Island where you could relax, talk, and enjoy exceptional seafood and drinks. The other nice thing is that it's a reasonably priced place that average people can afford. Our visit last night gave us all the great food... More

Great food, awesome service!! A little pricey, but worth it. Suggest arriving early. We arrived to a long waiting list to be seated. Was told it would be 30 minutes, but was only like 15.

The crab trap is a must-have every time we visit SSI. We love the food and atmosphere. However, we cannot give an excellent rating due to service, especially on our last visit. The wait staff treat customers like cattle - heading the masses in and out as quickly as possible. If I am paying over $60 for dinner for two... More

Crab legs were awesome! Nice and fresh and plentiful. They also have very good hushpuppies. The service was good too. This time of year plan on waiting for a table 25 minutes.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant based on my friends recommendations. When I read the menu, I couldn't believe how much of the food was fried, I had the crab patties, (thinking they would be pan fried, not deep fried), they were good, but I wouldn't say excellent. The meal comes with hush puppies, fries and coleslaw.... More

Our first visit to the Crab Trap was a good one. Yes, it's not cheap, but good seafood never is. The waitress (who was awesome) worked with our group of 11 people (4 Moms, 7 girls ranging in age from 5 to 12), making suggestions and giving alternatives. My daughter had the appetizer portion of grilled scallops - and they... More
