Enjoyed one of their specials that night for dinner. Very friendly staff and great service. Food was very good. I also had a Pina Colada and I have to say it was one of the best I have had in a long time. Very fresh.

My husband and 15-year-old son don't have huge appetites, so when we're together, we always buy two meals and share. I chose fried shrimp and the others chose soft shell crab, which none of us had ever had before. For this we got about a two tablespoons of crab meat and 10 medium- sized shrimp. Granted, we were sharing, but... More

The seafood and the atmosphere and cool, great, local. I had fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw and hush puppies -- yummy! Fellow diners enjoyed their combo platter, crab legs and seafood casserole. Most fun is that each table has a hole in the middle for disposing of shells, etc. Great waitstaff!

The Crab Trap was busy with several folks waiting in line when we arrived around 6:45 p.m. Fortunately, a table for two was available as most of those waiting had a large group. The fried shrimp and oyster combo was very good...french fries were 'lightly battered' and excellent. The place has a large seating capacity and the wait staff (Laine... More

Part of the fun when visiting the Georgia coast is our trip to The Crab Trap. Perfect Georgia shrimp, blackened mahi mahi, and batter fried french fries are our favorites. The service is friendly and the quality is always dependable. If rock shrimp are in season, give them a try. We've been going here for years and have never been... More

This place was extremely crowded for an off weekend. The oysters were not edible. The shrimp and grits were a stew style with lots of sauce. The fries are horrible. My baked potato was cold. My kids would not eat their food as they said it taste bad. For 2 adults and 2 kids it was $100. The server was... More

I have been here over a hundred times! I've never regretted a single visit! You must get the Fried Shrimp...it is The Definition of what shrimp should be. Georgia shrimp are especially sweet, perfect for frying. They serve Georgia Wild-caught Native Shrimp. Get the breaded french fried potatoes. They are the best! Good to you but can't be good for... Whenever we visit St Simons, we have to eat at the Crab Trap! it is the epitome of great fresh seafood! We love the fired seafood!! The batter is not heavy, and it is just delicious.
