Sandwiches are huge with large portions of meat. Sauce is so-so and rather bland. Ambience is nice. Shady, laid-back, county place with shade trees and a very relaxed atmosphere.

I've been to this establishment several times trying to like the food. I am with a Motorcycle Riding Club and it seems everyone loves the food from this place. I do not share the same passion. To me the bbq. has too much of a vinegar taste. It also seems that the food upsets my insides. I can usually eat... More

It was my first time eating at this restaurant, and I had a great time! The food was great and the staff made me feel like I was at home. We went close to closing time and a movie was playing. We had dinner and a movie for the cost of $17.00, not to mention priceless company. I will be... More

I had read about this place and decided to stop in for some ice cream. This is a neat place that is worth the trip. The roads around the area make for a nice ride and the hand scooped ice cream is very good. Although I didn't eat this trip, the smells coming from the pit had my mouth watering.... More

On my way back home to central Florida from the Smoky Mountains I missed the turn where 441 branched south. Knew the roads did not look familiar but continued anyway. When I got to ST. George I realized a mistake had been made. It was a hot Georgia day and I was on my motorcycle lost in the woods. To... More

I decided to head out there from Jacksonville. The ride was awesome going along the back roads. Got to The Shack and was greeted with friendly people. Didn't realize they did not take debit card, but he did point to the equipment so they can start accepting debit cards and will be hooked up this week. The menu and prices... More

We decided to make the trek to the Shack By The Track, in Saint George, GA on a recent Sunday afternoon. It was 33 miles from my house on the Westside of Jacksonville. It's pretty easy to get there. I simply followed my GPS, and it took me directly there. This place is, indeed, a Shack. And it is right... More

We have be living in the area for nearly 10 years and keep telling ourselves that wee need to go check this place out. We were duly warned about the ******CASH ONLY**** policy. Many folks we spoke with spoke highly about how good the food is as well as the Ice Cream. Mothers day proved to be the day to... More

This is one of the most unique B-B-Q places I've come across. It's located in a logging town on the Georgia side of the Saint Marys River, on the East side of the Okefenokee Swamp. The large size B-B-Q pork sandwich/dinner I ordered was delicious...and huge. The next time I'll order the regular size. The 'dinner' came with two side... More
