It was my birthday, and my foodie friends asked me what kind of food I would like for a luncheon gathering. I told them Southern, and the result was Greenwoods. We were a party of 13, and they were able to accommodate us all. The service was very good despite the fact that we were 13 people with a total... More

My brother in law had wanted to go to Greenwoods for months. My wife, mother-in-law and I had second thoughts as were not big fans of fried foods. Going on line it seemed their menu was somewhat limited, but it was the brother in laws birthday so we relented. We ate on the patio by the garden which produced a... More

Shrimp and grits were awesome, but the chocolate pie is the best dessert I have ever had! Great customer service, the staff place makes you feel like home. Atmosphere is pretty and comfortable. A favorite for sure. Make sure to come hungry.

Last Saturday afternoon was just a flawless July day here in north Atlanta and we decided it would be fun to have a late lunch outside where we could enjoy the sunshine and breezes. What better place could there be than the porch at Greenwood's on Green Street in historic and beautiful Roswell Georgia, overlooking the garden which was filled... More

Went here for lunch today and was very pleased with the good. At first I thought the prices were a bit high, but the portions they give you are massive. Take some home! I had the shrimp and grits, my wife had 4 vegetable sides. All were delicious and the shrimp was very fresh. Took a sampling of 3 pies... More

I put this restaurant on my bucket list of places to eat in North Atlanta over 18 months ago and this past Saturday while on a trip to Woodstock we took a detour to the Roswell area. I remembered the restaurant and its name and looked it up on Tripadvisor again to verify it was still a top rated restaurant.... More

Went there with family for dinner. They brought out plates of corn muffins - don't eat too many because when the meal comes out you will get stuffed quick. I had the meatloaf with broccoli casserole and coleslaw. Nothing to complain about. Food was fresh and portions are plentiful!

I'm Southern born and raised and this is great. No, they don't cook their vegetables to death but that's a good thing. Had catfish which was as good as I've ever had, super collard greens and great sweet potatoes. The corn muffins were great as well. If you want a real no holds barred Southern experience, this is it.
