Excellent value for the money. Southern-styled food--fried chicken excellent as are fried green tomatoes. Servers so friendly. Be sure top have dessert here. If going on a week-end night the wait is worth it.

I took a friend who likes country cooking. He wanted fried chicken and the unfriendly waitress who acted like we were intruding on her time told us 30 minutes. Really, if fried chicken is your specialty, then have it ready Veggies were good but not great. Won't hurry back

Have not been here in a few years and now can't understand why! This place is known for it's fried chicken but many great other menu choices as well. This is home cooked food not intended for anyone counting calories. There are no vegetarian or gluten free offerings. What you will get is warm atmosphere, a dose of host Bill Greenwood's quirky taste in art, and generous helpings of rotisserie chicken, raspberry glazed duck, chicken pot pie, shrimp and grits, broccoli cheese casserole, sweet potato pie, and other traditional... Went to Greenwood's last night for dinner with a business colleague. He's a local and his exact words were "we have to go there...it's my favorite restaurant anywhere!" We arrived early so didn't have a wait but it's obvious that they're set up to handle a long wait if necessary. Overall the decor is kitschy but fun. Old farmhouse which... More

When we have out of town visitors who haven't experienced "the South", we take them to Greenwoods. The corn cake biscuits as starts are fantastic. The comes along the HUGE portions of fried chicken, pot roast, meatloaf and a variety of fish specials; PLUS two sides (broccoli cheese casserole, sweet potato mousse and the grits are our favorites!) and you...
