Good ribs

Ate lunch here my husband and I split a full rack of their ribs. The sauce was a sweet BBQ sauce , which I love, and the meat falls off the bones. The sides were mac n cheese which was creamy and very good the collards were a sweet and vinegary taste. Large portions on all food. Their sweet... read more

from the outside it looks like a wooden shack. from the inside it looks like a wooden cabin but it is very clean and comfy. The staff is super friendly. But the food is the big seller here. If you are into bbq it is worth the drive out there. Cheap also and extremely casual. Must be even better when... More

We took a friend who had recently lost his wife and another friend to lunch after church. We were told that the spare ribs were 1 1/2 #'s and that may be true but the bone was big in each so maybe 3/4# max of meat. I asked for no sauce and yep- it came with sauce - another 6-8... More

Swallow At the Hollow is an experience: crowded, noisy, full of life, friendly, very casual, and delicious, delicious ribs, pulled pork, etc. There is also a small vegetarian menu. Go to the Swallow as much for the experience as for the food. DO make a reservation. There is ample parking. If this is the kind of experience you are looking... More

we have such fond memories of delicious bbq and welcoming decor of this place that it was a real let down when we visited the other day to not find any. over staffed, pushy workers herded us through a meal of absolute gosh awful bbq pulled pork that was left over from who knows when and reheated for perhaps the... Not my favorite BBQ but I am biased and only like BBQ from Tx. The services was good the desert was excellent and the atmosphere is very family friendly. BBQ has Carolina influence.

we enjoyed the place, cool location, not crowded ( we went several years ago and could not get a seat) The brisket was dry dry dry - but the pork was awesome, the smoked turkey very nice - we all loved the smoked chicken wings!! they have three sauces to choose from ( their KC is not- we are from... Welcome to the south. Great BBQ in a down home rustic setting. Nothing fancy but tons of good food that's not so good for you.

This is one of our go-to BBQ places, for both take-home and eat-in. The Q is perfectly-cooked, regardless of which one you pick. And the sides all are rock solid. Go early and often.

Freindly atmosphere and great food. Real BBQ at a fair price. Will be back for Babyback ribs and Blue Moon draft.
