Good ol' country eating

Went there for New's Years Day collards and black eyed peas. It was okay but nothing that would warrant another visit. Fried chicken was my favorite of all the dishes we tried. Corn wss our least favorite. Decor is very old and needs improvement for sure. The young man that served us was great. Very attentive and super nice.

Relatives of the original family that started this business, Recently bought it back and it's awesome!! Good down home southern country cooking at a fair price. The sweet tea is also excellent. If your visiting Rome Ga. don't leave town without stopping by this place!

Just go try it you want be sorry. The food was so good. The service was very friendly. You just go in seat yourself and the trip back to normal cooked food nothing strange or weird. Go in for lunch or dinner. You want be sorry just full and happy..

When I was a young girl my family went to the Partridge restaurant every Sunday after Church for lunch and it was the highlight of my week. I went back with my family again this week and it reminded me of the good times and good food I enjoyed as a child.

Ok...The Partridge recently reopened under the original family owners and their family. I was so excited because we were frequent visitors. One of the main reasons we loved the restaurant was because everything was served family style and you could get refills. Our 6 year old son absolutely loved going there because he could get all of the cornbread and... More

You really don't want to wish anyone bad business, but when the owners of the Partridge Restaurant on Broad Street in Rome closed and the facility reverted back to the next generation of the original owners, the Jacobs family, a giant hurrah filled the social media pages. What a gem...true Southern Cooking, the menus that you pick up a pencil... More

This old classic has just reopened with the Jacobs family taking their place back after a few failed attempts by others. Mrs. Jacobs has to be in her mid 90's by now and she is back to look after the restaurant as much as she is able. So glad it is back and all of Rome wishes them the best.

Very friendly staff. Could use a few more waiting staff, however, food was excellent. If you get the rice and gravey, ask for the brown gravey. The Hamburg stake was excellent. My wife had the vegetable plate and that was good. Would highly recommend the cornbread. Best we had in quite some time. Will come back when in the area

We go to Partridge regularly on Sunday afternoons after church. As wonderful fried chicken and another mate with many vegetables. Usually corn bread is good all served family style, cream corn, green beans, pinto beans and greens, and desserts that are wonderful. And what you don't eat on the table you get to take home. Well worth the stop once... More
