We were familiar with the restaurant from previous visits. Everything has changed. We were not impressed with the menu or the price....much More expensive than it used to be....so we ordered salads with an order of fried okra to share....the waitress came back to inform us they were out of okra...there was not much else to choose so I asked... I've been here twice and both times were awesome. I love the country cooking and the atmosphere. That cornbread is amazing. Went to a bridesmaid luncheon here and we had a ball.

Family friendly with great food. Fed a family of 7 for under $45.00 . Southern comfort food served family style, very courteous staff. Definitely will dine here again if back in the area.

I love this place and wish we had one at home. The food is delicious and you get way more than you can eat for very little money. The service was wonderful as well. If you want southern food and hospitality, this is where it's at.

Had dinner and lunch here during our stay. Had our meals before 5 pm, meals were $10 each for adults and $5 for the child. Excellent portions, served HOT and family style. Oh yeah, don't forget you get dessert and drinks included. Great service. Clean restaurant and spacious. DON'T MISS IT !!

We have enjoyed the new version of this long time Rome meal choice. It's family style option is really pleasing. Watch out that you don't overdo the sides because you will enjoy the no-fancy desserts. Just good food, served promptly by attentive staff.

Typical mom & pops style diner. Good place to get meatloaf and mashed potatoes. They also have very good fried steak and mac and cheese.

Recently found this place on trip advisor and we decided to try it out. So glad we did! Absolutley amazing food. We had 7 people in our group 4 adults and 3 children our total bill was less than $60.00. This included our meal, dessert, and drinks! If you haven't tried it, you need too! We will be going back... This place is amazing. The place is a staple of broad street since the 40's. It is a nice place to go have a meal with the family like you would have had growing up. The table cloth is a piece of freshly torn brown paper, so no worries putting your food on it or whatever. The spread that is... More
