Good Southern food, family style

This restaurant has a family style option on the menu where everyone at the table gets to select their meat and choose five sides and get appetizers and dessert. This meal costs $14. They have Southern food. The meatloaf and country fried steak were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

So I know we went against the grain of ordering the fried, fried or fried food. But it was lunch time by the way, so salad was the order. Menu described as green mix salad but ended up being wilted "rusty " iceberg with a little red cabbage The chef salad was some ham on the salad. ( and only... More

The Partridge is a good, simple, Southern dining experience. There aren't a lot of frills. It's just a good place to get a good meal for not a whole lot of money. They rotate around various foods, so you get a choice of about 5 meats, which they bring with a selection of side dishes that come family style. The... More

Used to eat here some. It had been a while since I was in Rome.....greasy, bland except for the salt. It is now off my list.

Grease and all. Unless you're a fan of fatty breakfast ham and banana cream pudding (what is it with banana cream pudding around here?), skip it.' Pluses--you can eat all you want for a base price...and proceed to waddle out. I haven't lived long enough in the South to appreciate this one.

Stopped by for lunch. Fried chicken and Turkey dressing assorted veggies. Banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert. Left stuffed. Been a while since we ate at the Partridge and was not disappointed.

Stopped at the Partridge. They served their food family style. I ordered pork loin and my husband ordered fried chicken. They started out with serving cole slaw and cornbread. The cornbread was super delicious and the cole slaw not so great. They brought a container full of corn, green beans, broccoli casserole, pinto beans, definitely enough for two. The green... More

I was in town for the geocaching event and we met some friends at this restaurant. They heard about it after talking to a local who was walking their dog. We sat at a big table and it was the perfect setting for the Southern family-style meal. You choose your meat (I had the country fried steak, which was perfectly... More

My family of 5 had a fun lunch here on a Saturday. Very good service; delicious food. We did reminisce about Sundays at Grandma's house as we passed the dishes all around the table and helped ourselves. We all liked the cornbread and cole slaw that came out first. All but one of us got the fried chicken; he got... More

What a great find! We were traveling through Rome and were looking for real southern food...jackpot! We weren't ready for the family style service...fried chicken, chicken fried steak & gravy, 5 or so sides to share...we took our peach cobbler and banana pudding to go, as we were full from eating everything -- it all tasted wonderful, I dislike most...
